Norway, Singapore, and several other deep draft storage areas are reporting increased contracts for storage of tankers, container ships, and cruise ships. Several major cruise ship companies are planning to store their ships for up to twelve months.

The US Navy now has several ships in a state of quarantine. At least one attack submarine is in quarantine and all such ships are at sea. No information on any active cases of infection aboard these ships although that should be a given.

North Korea has mobilized reserve forces but no observed mobilization of armor or heavy transports has been observed.

China's economic output is down over 40% since January 1, 2020.

The State of Washington has sent a memo to school districts to prepare to close for up to eight weeks.

The EMR-ISAC (US) in today's analysis raised the threat level to the US from COVID-19 to "high".

US Rail Traffic report for February notes a 31% decline from January.

With the US conducting military exercises in Thailand right now I suspect this will be an on going occurrence for a couple of months at least. It will be a routine thing for a while I am thinking.

Most likely do to a US Post carrier having the corona virus. We have already implemented a 24 hold on all mail and packages. Sprayed with Lysol and stored in secured area for 24 hours. This is supposed to ensure that any wet surface is disifected and dry before being handled by anyone besides security. Security is wearing gloves during all contact with mail and packages. US mail, FedEx,UPS and all other types.

That's because about 90% of the NHL hockey sticks come from China. I wonder why, could it be cheap labor thus ability to by them cheaper.

Need to have the NHL make a deal with the USA or better yet with Canada.

Sticks used to be made in Canada. So did knife boots and ice armour. Then companies bought those companies, and decided people wanted them made in China instead.

I find it absolutely hillarious as of late that the same retail companies/distributers/dealers of all the Chinese-produced merchandise - the same ones that shifted all this production to China a long time ago - are now the biggest whiners of how the Coronavirus (which originated in China) has led to said merchandise being stuck in China or elsewhere.

I have no sympathy whatsoever. They slashed costs and jobs from North American production and moved it to China to be made by slave labour, only to have it come full circle and bite them hard in the ass.

Poetic justice at it's finest.

Is it just me or does it seem more frequently over the years that sticks break during a game? Some games I've watched it's ridiculous how often it happens.

Perhaps for now teams should just use the super glue and duct tape combo to keep them serviceable.
