I always wondered who ever gave cities their 'titles' and when, and if they're even offcial

My Town of Port Alberni, B.C is titled "Salmon Capital of the World. Its on a big sign as you enter. I was wondering if anyone else's city or town has a 'title'. Also it would be funny if we can find two people's cities with the SAME 'title' and to see who really owns it!!

As of last year Abbotsford was the murder capital of Canada with more murders per 100,000 people than anywhere else in Canada. Apart from that unpleasant claim to fame, Abby is the Berry capital of Canada.
