There's more to being a guitar guard than playing the guitar though, Ofaolain.

$1:
"Fish Legend"? hmm... this I would like to hear about!

The band itself is split on whether this actually happened. It also may have happened in a hotel room or on a dock. It doesn't matter if, when, or where it happened, just that it's one of those rock and roll legends.

The legend as I know it...

Led Zeppelin was on a tour of the US. They found themselves a groupie who was into...let's just say odd things. So they were either on a dock where there were some fish or they were in a hotel room where there was a single, whole fish. There were a lot of people there, not just the band. So the groupie decided the boys deserved a show and used the fish as a prop for...let's just say the grand finale.

I like the dock version of the story better because it puts it into a more public venue and, more importantly, explains where the fish came from. I know things got pretty odd on Led Zeppelin tours, but I've been unable to understand why there would be a whole fish in their hotel room.
