Rev, we are Canadians on opposite sides of the political spectrum who believe in a strong(er) Canadian military.

Now we just need to convince the political masters its a vote grabber.
The cash Paul just gave will unfortunately barely maintain the current levels.

We need a decent heavy airlift capability, support ships capable of carrying and maintaining an expeditionary force or disaster relief effort , and the flexibility of providing out of theatre air cover for our troops.
Decent and deployable aircover would mean the yanks wouldn't be in a position to drop bombs on our boys by mistake anymore.

All expensive stuff that Australia manages to do.

We can do it too! We just need the political and public will.

QBCguy QBCguy:
Johnnybgoodaaaaa Johnnybgoodaaaaa:
I don't get all this talk of infidels? I thought that usually applied to people who are unbelievers, and is usually used in the care of religious point of views, in which case, I haven't seen much Canadian's who are extremely religious here. Not to say that you all aren't, it's just I see more bashing of Christian views than pro-any religion. Of course, you are probably joking.

Johnny, I am joking. Warhawk, (aka Perogi Man) posts rather infintile comments so I'm being as silly as he. Did you read my other post about the great wall earlier in the thread? I thought is was a rather good goof.......

haha, yeah, I figured. I'll just let you guys go on with your business then.

WarHawkster - I like your style! Remember, that America and Canada were partners in WWII and during the Cold War. So the gratefulness flows to Canada also.

We are now in a global economy and are becoming a global society. Any issues regarding trade, crime, culture are becoming global real fast. Instead of beating up on those "Americans" we should focus on issues like "How am I going to get my kids educated", in America and Canada. :)

We need some awards issued here for either dumbest forum post ever!!! or for dumbest DREAM ever.

And the award goes to....

The Perogonator. ol' WH

Screw the us, there's not enough nukes and bleach to clean up that country.

They should be grateful we don't burn their white house again. They are a disgrace to the word humanity. They are the number one cause of stress to the people of the world. They kill more people with their war machine, companies, chemicals, apathy and so on than anything else I can think of combined. They are the biggest terrorist org in the world.
Line 'em up, I got lots o' ammo.
Lets get that wall built, but as the old joke goes, lets build it all the way around and fill it with water.

Be gratefull...

Sounds like (from an anti homo person WH) you just want us to bend over and let them have at it dry. Screw you and your stupid post. There will never be an insult big enough to call you for even writing those words. You.. You.... YOU...... wanna_be_american!!!
Move away, we dont want you anymore. Go take the stick up yur bum and wander on down to the us.

Traitorous words, "be grateful..."
while people are still unemployed because of them? While we pay tariffs on our wood??? while they rip off our farmers??? while lake erie glows from their nuke power plants??? and on and on and on.

We need awards for dingleberry of the century!
Where are the awards???

They're only going to one person.

Gee, uh thanks! But i'm sure there are other posters here that are much more deserving (like yourself for instance).

Such a great example of how tolerant this country is!

They should be grateful we don't burn their white house again.

As it stands we have no where near the capability of accomplishing that presently, but if you wish to persue that i'd advise you to be more supportive of the military.

Also, it was the British Royal Marines that burned down the White House, not Canadians. In fact Canada didn't even exist as a nation.

More hate-filled rantings I see are becoming more and more frequent here at these forums. Shame your rantings really have no substance.

First, I have nothing against homosexuals, and have never stated that I did. Second, I do not want to be an American (presently), I am quite happy with living in Canada currently. I am getting fed up with the persecution of the rich, the high taxes, and the state run media though. If things don't start getting better, yeah, I will become an American.

I never said we should bend over to the Americans either, I just think we should realize that we benefit significantly from their might, instead of disagreeing with them at every turn out of spite. Recognize that we have the luxury of criticizing them because we are protected by them.

$1:

There are plenty of people in Canada that don't want you in the country either. Why don't you move to France?

Traitorous words, "be grateful..."

What's so wrong about being grateful? Do we not benefit from their military power?

$1:
while people are still unemployed because of them? While we pay tariffs on our wood??? while they rip off our farmers??? while lake erie glows from their nuke power plants??? and on and on and on.

Baby gunna cry? There there.

I'm just matching him tit for tat. And as for anti homosexuality posts, I could bring up your own words like I bring up links, but anyone who can read has read the words you have wrote.

You know for someone who touts the so-called-greatness of the us, you sure are a sensitive one. Maybe you just think that someone is taking care of you and thats all that matters. In other posts your very anti-liberal, talking about people being dependant, yet here you are, telling us to bow down to the massa and thank him for his whippin's and the lil bit o' moldy cheeze he offers. Your double talk is pathetic and you don't even see the connection, and thats probably what you'll write next.

Hmm, you've already made it clear that you don't like Americans, now how about you get on with your life because you aren't giving any positivity to this world. While I disagree with alot of things warhawkster says, I just don't like your opinions of Americans and you always post arrogant things towards Americans. You can say what you please, but realize all you are is a force for the negative and intolerance towards people, just like you might claim Americans to be. I'm mainly going off of other post I've seen. You take time out of your day to gather tons of links on every terrible thing American. It just gets to a point where it's like "why bother?" You are never going to change someone like Warhawksters mind, because he thinks he is right just like you do. Two people, with different opinions, but set ideologies who won't give in arguing will go nowhere. At least you have proven that you are petty enough to sink to others levels. Goodjob man!

Actually, unlike WH, I actually post truths, if you don't like them, oh well, thats why he doesn't read my links. If he wants to start a topic and gets slammed by the truth then so be it. If you think that I should just sit back and go, "oh, warpigeon, says we should all bend over for the yanks." and not say something back you are greatly mistaken.

Yes I can, this is Canada, and that is one of the fundamental differences, no First-Amendment-Areas.

Sadly, it only takes about 10 minutes.

If I see someone die, I report it, if he sees someone die, well, they must have wronged america somehow. No questions asked. I dare to ask questions, and when I find the answers it pissess off people like you, because I'm not afraid to state it and my opinion of it, to you it looks like hate and negetivity, yet that is all we see of your countrymen; respect: doing to anouther as they do to you. I can give you dozens of links from americans printing and going on tv, radio, and internet bashing Canada and Canadians, yet I do it back to you and its negetive. Wake up and look at the country you live in. Not just the Gov, but the social aspects as well.

$1:

I post what I think and feel, you see them as arrogance from up on your pedistal. *How dare he say that about americans*. I've read your posts as well, and to, time and time again, go after guys like WH and then to state that I'm being negetive is a joke. Since when do we need an american to defend anti-canadian posts. We can do it just fine. Some of us are nice about it, others make everyone go, "DAAMMNNNN!!!"

$1:
It just gets to a point where it's like "why bother?"

Then don't. If it bothers you so much, then don't read it. Stop responding. I bother because I care, I'm not apathetic to the world or my place in it, or the actions that are resultant of either my actions or inactions. I call it being responsible. Our parents taught us that when we were young, it would seem most have forgotten their lessons.

No, here's the thing. I have no problem with someone informing people, it's just the way you do it. You throw in lines at people, say screw Americans, hope they get nuked, and basically talk shit through posting your linkes. You even gave a link to some huge rant about the south. That is not a truth, but a huge rant by someone. Why would you bash me, what have I done to you personally? Do you think things in my country don't bother me, that I am blind to the poverty, the elitist gathering up more and more money, the lobbyist pushing for unsafe environmental plans, the companies who would rather make a buck than use the precautionary principle. Wake up and take notice that you aren't the only one in this whole world who is informed on things and who can read. To use an example, I have never said that your facts are completely off, yet you tell me to wake up, and accuse me of basically knowing nothing. I have told you time and time again that I have heard of some of the stories you post, that I know my government does fucked up things, and etc, yet you keep telling me to wake up. I mean what the hell, you don't listen to anyone, and you go off on anyone even if they agree with the links you post. I have no problem with someone being critical of the US policies, and if you have links about things in which higher up people are screwing over people in the US, I'm fine with hearing them, but when you go on with prejudice remarks towards Americans, treat them like they are below you, and just do all of your other shit-talking, it doesn't win friends or supporters, and if anything it turns people off. I have gone after WH before, but what you do is you don't just go after WH, you go all out and cut down all of us, even those who would agree with you on things. WH says things which I completely disagree with, but for you to come in here and say my country wouldn't even be clean if it was nuked and bleach was used doesn't make me want to support you. For you to say screw Americans, treat them all like idiots will actually have me siding more with WH than you because you are cutting me down with those remarks. There's people like Alex Grey who go to the street with what they think and try to open peoples eyes in a civil way, and there's people like you who treat people like shit. Now good day.
