Everyboby quit your bitching. This thread was made so we can laugh and bitch at idiot american politicians and Ann Cuntuss, not each other.

Who says we give politician bubby concrete shoes and send him for a walk through southern ontario so he can see how many terrorists are down there.

ziggy ziggy:
$1:
A List of Canadian Terrorists
The following list includes a variety of terrorists and key supporters who have lived in Canada while on the run for terrorist actions in a homeland conflict, or who have acted on behalf of an overseas terrorist organization after establishing a Canadian residence. Naturally, the list is far from being definitive.
....

Cant blame Harper for these guys getting in the country.

Have you got a source for that? That's all pretty damning details.

Well isn't that all progressive and inclusive.
It makes me so damn proud to see us warmly welcome these fine candidates to Canada.
Too bad Canadian mind and others won't read or accept such with an open mind.

Quit crying like a little Bitch, you and Patrick have been throwing out just as many "personal attacks" my way.
There is a small difference. We actually put forth points, you on the other hand cry like a bitch and call us inbred hicks. Dumbass. Consider yourself schooled.

Maybe the USA should worry about terrorist cells internally before they look north.

Why? It's easier to point the finger at someone else. Besides, all those terrorists came from Canada

The one thing the fellow is right about is that if there is an attack on the USA orchestrated from Canada then, yes, border security will increase much more than it already has. And just because his knowledge of Canada is typical for an above-average American (at least he knows Toronto is in Canada!) does not mean he should be ignored. So far as the border is concerned this man is among the five most powerful Americans in this purview. Laugh him off at your own peril, what he can do with his power is no laughing matter.

At the same time, the awareness of a problem in Canada by Canadian law enforcement reduces the risk of such an attack - as the seventeen arrests would indicate.

Just weighing in.... a stupid politician mouths off and creates a tempest in a teapot. Canada does it, America does it.

Truth is, Canada did a real good job of stopping a terrorist attack by a handful of yahoos. Too bad America didn't do so well before 9-11. As a proud American, I am not pleased with how America ignored the warnings and didn't prevent the attacks when we had a chance to.

We are all together in this. If Canada has made some mistakes, then Canada will nicely correct itself. Canadian security is good.

The direction we are going to towards is to much more border activity, much more trade and absolute dependency. Everybody hold hands and sing kumbaya.

bootlegga bootlegga:
Yes, I agree that their refusal to ban Hezbollah and the Tamil Tigers was wrong, but they've been banned now. Posting this kind of stuff just perpetuates the old "Canada is a haven for terrorists" and so on.

Actually it is true. Canada is in fact a haven for terrorists. How many individuals have our immigration department listed as having been part of a terrorist organisation yet granted permission to stay for 'humanitarian' purposes? How many organisations in Canada have been known to funnel funds back home to their respective terrorist organisations?

The solution is simple. Ban all Muslim groups outright and deport immediately any such individual who espouses extremist views of Islam. Security of the state takes precedence over the 'rights' of such individuals.

Were it up to me I would ban Islam outright under the principles of fascism but then again this country is too weak and liberal to accept such ideals.

By the way, I love that sig of yours where you are sarcastic about Canada living under the security umbrella of US military might. There is no reason to be sarcastic about it. It is the truth. The USA has guarded our sovereignty far more than we Canadians have. It is US warships that travelled through our waters searching out Soviet submarines and surface vessels. It is US warships that caught the odd Soviet spy trawler disguised as a fishing trawler.

I would suggest you not mock the very military that has helped keep Canada a free nation. We as a nation spent nowhere near what was required to defend our own borders. Due to this, the USA took it upon themselves to do so. True they did not do it because they loved Canada so much. They did it as a means of protecting their own interests. Canada was the USA's buffer with the Soviet Union. Soviet Backfire and Bear bombers used to enter Canadian airspace constantly. They were never escorted out of our airbases by Canadian warplanes. We do not have any that far north. Those Soviet bombers were escorted out of our airspace by American F-15 Eagles and F-16 Fighting Falcons based in Alaska. Keep this in mind the next time you seek to mock the Americans and their 'shield' over Canada.
