This is what I am gathering, and why the U.S is not fooling around with these negotiations. He will get out of NAFTA, make much better deals with Mexico and Canada in a bi-lateral manner to ensure a more precise and advantageous agreement.
In the end, this is going to be devastating for Canada, as Mexico has much less interest in an agreement with Canada, and thus we would lose any advantage we had by piggybacking off of the U.S in negotiations as we did with NAFTA.
I feel sorry for Trudeau, decades of exploitation by the Canadian apparatus and now we pay a steep price. Let's be clear, Harper was no better, allowing us to look feeble and soft while looking to build shiny new prisons at a cost of billions and appointing some of the biggest idiots on political history in Fantino and Toews.
You know who to thank for these failures. Glad to see at least some areas in Canada there have been cuts to the RCMP. Next, we need to cut CSIS and transfer payments to Ontario. A win/win/win.

This is what I've been saying all along is that the negotiations are just a step on the path to the US withdrawing from NAFTA completely.

For 35 American states, that would not be a good thing, Bart especially as they are very dependent on cross-border trade with Canada. Trumpet blows with the wind, so who knows what will happen but I do hope that saner heads will prevail.

Noone is going to get hit harder than Ontario. Couldn't happen to a nicer group of crony communists.
Forget the trade, what this means is jobs. That's what this is all about, jobs jobs jobs. Getting rid of NAFTA will drive more business from Canada back to America, their place of orgin.
The biggest losers? The Canadian Security Apparatus. I will drink to that development.

I wonder how many Mexican businesses are shipping their headquarters to Ontario? Get ready OPP and TPS, your budgets are going to be under the microscope like never before.

I say you need at least one month off from CKA. That way you can wrap up your battle with the Stasi and come back as fresh as.... well, as fresh as the chemtrails and reptiloids will let you.

I'm the messenger. A decade of my efforts reaching out to some of the same U.S politicians that Canadian politicians are now reaching out to in an effort to have them side with them. Tough to argue your value when you undermine the sole ally that is the only buffer between you and your entire nation speaking Russian.

I just don't want the corrupt Mexican regime to be treated the same as Canada. Mexico requires a separate agreement that reflects the realities of Mexico and that does not treat it as the moral equivalent of Canada. It isn't. I want the US to ditch NAFTA and replace it with two agreements tailored to the specific relationships we have with Canada and Mexico.

If history is any indicator, I'm sure we'll eventually catch up to Mexico.

herbie herbie: Meanwhile GM pulls a move in Canada that's entirely WHY so many Americans hate NAFTA: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/london/gm ... 82?cmp=rssJust a precursor. Wait until American lowers it's corporate tax rates and every corporate HQ in Toronto looks to head back down south. That's when people will really care about how some stabbed our own citizens and employees in the back, along with of course, the shareholders and corporations who trusted Canada to be as advertised, but received anything but.

Treating agreements between the USA and Canada and the USA and Mexico differently makes sense actually. That would lead to Canada and Mexico having to work out their own agreement too.
