These traits should not only be applied to immigrants that are trying to obtain citizenship, but to those that are trying to immigrate.

Are you talking out of your ass or have you really tried to read the cic-page?

There is a very large gap between what our government posts online vs what they practice in reality.

If everything the government posted on their websites actually happened we would currently be living in Utopia, trying to fend off the massive immigration issues that would arise. But, we are not.

That means, either, a) nobody wants to come to Canada, or b)or Immigration departments are not practicing what they preach.

I have tried to sponsor multiple, highly educated, guaranteed employment Brits and Americans with ZERO success.

I was even, specifically, told by Immigration Canada to find workers from the Phillipines and from Mexico as opposed to the US or Europe.

Our government talks a good game...that's about it.

My guess is(and my information is old... like "back in the days when it was Employment and Immigration" old), if it's a position we're not suffering a shortage of qualified Canadians for, they won't allow it.
The Brits and Americans and to a little lesser extent, Northern/Western Europeans, really get hammered with this because the attitude is, you already live in a first world country so there's really no need to come here.
They really would prefer you to find "qualified" workers from 3rd world countries these days.

All we need is a surefire test to keep the Teabaggers and their ilk out.

Teabaggers bad, radical jihadist muslims okay. So noted.

Birds of a feather i say, of course a the definition of a "jihadist muslim" to many in the states is anyone who isn't white, middle aged, making 9 figures a year, has their own personal howitzer and is about 200 lb overweight.

I guess the whole healthcare issue depends on your experience. Down here my wife's and I experience has been nothing but bad. I think it's funny when people say Canada has long wait times and you'll die before you get seen. Funny thing is it's like that here and even if you do get seen it'll either be a monster bill you can never pay off or you'll get dismissed for pre-existing conditions even if those conditions have nothing to do with what your in the hospital for.

Furthermore my friend worked for two prominent insurance companies, his job? A detective, one that tried to find any tidbit of info to get someone kicked off of insurance if they needed an expensive procedure. The more he saved the company the more he got paid. He quit and now lives with tremendous guilt and shame.
