Hydro is the only example. Obiviously other materials is more convenient for us, but they could get it else where.

CAGERATTLER CAGERATTLER:
Saskanna Saskanna:
Spitting in the eyes of the Americans didn't work out too well for Chretien and CAnada so perhaps attempts at true negotiation and diplomacy will bear riper fruit? I believe it is well worth a try considering that 85% of our exports depends on good relations with the US.

Our resources are of little benefit to Canada sitting in the ground!

Good relations have little to do with it!

Look at hydro for instance! We sell a lot of hydro to the eastern seaboard of the U.S.A.!

You sell water to the eastern seaboard?

Just an observation here, but if we didn't sell hydroelectric power to the US then who would we sell it to?

Well with my proper education we call electricity...... electricity. Power is called power and hydro is latin for water........

Moving water is a MEANS of creating electricity.

lol!

My point was actually aimed at CageRattler's comment about "if the Americans don't buy hydroelectric from us, who will they buy it from?". (sorry, should have quoted it)

What I'm saying is that electricity is not something that can be packaged and sent overseas for resale. It can only be sold to a country that is close enough to share a common grid.Yes?No?

BOTTOMLINE!!! Jean Chretien quote: The americans don't buy from us just because they like us they buy from us because we have products they need and want!

Some CON servatives actually think we need to kiss american ass or else they will stop buying our products.

Our Hydro-electic power is a good example of this! Some are just too narrow minded to view the whole picture!

Yes Wullu if ya want to get smart assed about it if there were any honest people amoug CON servatives they would admit they knew what I was talking about when I mentioned the word hydo! If on the other hand you think that is and should be only water THEY do want our clean water too.

Go look hydro up in the dictionary you'll see one of the explainations as being hydro-electic MEANING hydro is used a lot as short for hydro electic!

hydo and hydro electic, are they the same thing?? Nuke nuke all the way, it keeps you glowing night and day. Itt's what we need. More reactors in our north built on the geologically stable Canadian Shield.
