Scape Scape:
Why? For overreaching our already thinly spread defense?

Order of Canada for that? He should be given the Iron Cross 1st class with oak leaves. We are now going to have to sign up to a multi-billion dollar boondoggle called missile defense, applaud and support the drunken sailor spending of that administration (because there will be no way out from under FTAA) and be in lock-step with a policy that dynamically opposed to every major social advancement that Canada has ever made a president for in the last 50 years effectively making Canada a geographical term not a country. :x Bush showing up in Halifax and Ottawa is just testing the waters for a bridge to Europe (he tried that last time in Ireland and that became a fiasco), we are a dress rehearsal for the much harder tasking for him. Selling war.

Yada...Yada...Yada...

That how it is, so get over it, GWB WON, but neither Iron Cross 1st class nor oak leaves will be yours either...

Beyond that, the missile defence will be signed, and our Army will be as always was, the strongest amongst the allies.

Hey, what I can say?

You like it or Not, that how Canada was, and will be in the near future...

Get over it, GWB won. Um, what is your point? What can you say other than roll over and take it? What message is that other than that of an apologist and a defeatist? Since when has it been acceptable to let any nation determine this nations destiny? Missile defense will be signed and we will be painted with a huge bullseye and a huge debt on top of it. That is something I can not change, I would advocate that we develop our own robust defensive measures that use something more inventive and resourceful than having the US define how we should defend ourselves.

...and yet I'm still wondering why some are so afraid of discussing indicting Bush for his crimes.

Because his alleged crimes are small time compared to the northern Sudanese massacre of 2,000,000 of their southern countrymen over the last 10 years. Or the massive and endless abuses by the Chinese government upon the people in its sphere of influence. Much of the world’s response toward China and others is indifference.
I hear and see virtually no rage toward those violators of humanity.

You give Bush to much credit. You make him sound greater than the sum of all tyrants who ever lived.

what? GWB won? won what? everything bush "won" has been stolen from other people. that's what being a republican is all about. gaining something at the expense of someone else.
rev, you remember that thread where i was arguing something about michael moore and the idiot changed the topic when he realized i was right and there was nothing he could say? i guess some things never change.
american missiles should have no place on canadian soil. it's the same encroaching that happened 50 years ago when ike wanted to place missiles in canada to replace the arrow. the missiles sucked ass and we had to buy american planes to replace them. history, like this website, has a tendency to repeat itself.

It seems like you all are trying to define the US's destiny and indict their leader under Canada's own laws....

As much as I don't agree with your other pose, I would have to say that this one fits along with my thinking. They just want to take down Bush because the US has power, yet as far as the Iraq war goes, alot less people have been killed than what is going on in other places in the world, yet everyone is willing to ignore and care more about Bush than those places. What does it matter if the US has power? That doesn't mean that countries like Sudan and China and Russia shouldn't face the same criticism and rath of Canada's almighty human-rights laws. There's so many countries who commit crimes against humanity that I suppose Canada should really just shut themselves off from this horrible world, or they can become a part of it and become Team Canada: World Police. Everyone will love you all just as much as the US!

Let’s embrace a liberal wet dream for a moment. Suppose Canada indicted Bush, he was tried found guilty and punished .So now it’s the next day.

How would Canada be regarded by our southern neighbors (U.S.A.)?

what makes bush so hainous, imo, is that he goes around the world claiming to be the bringer of all that is right and good. :x but in truth he brings the opposite. that can't be said of any other leader of any other nation.
