From the perspective of somebody living in America (and indeed, from the perspective of most people on this continent), there are few if any "far-right" posters here.

And from the perspective of the planet earth, anybody supporting Bush is either miss-informed or an extreme right wing looney-tune.

So there you have it, all a matter of perspective! :D

In these days of global economy and multinationalism a country like the US had the perfect chance to lead the world by using the UN in the proper manner to get what they wanted in Iraq.

In these days of global economy and multinationalism, an organization like the UN had the perfect chance to re-establish itself as a relevant force for good in the world. Instead, it opposed the liberation of Iraq and the US-led coalition, and its credibility is now zero.

The UN is a disgrace. If it doesn't die of attrition, the endless scandals will kill it.

hwacker hwacker:
The Un... hahahahahaha stop it, i'm going to piss my pants.

Once again another misinformed Canadian

The relativity of the UN is definitely up for debate. The fact remains, though, that the US was still and is a member of the UN. My problem is that as soon as the UN did not placate the American demands to "liberate" iraq (laff) for lack of evidence or reason, the US turned tail and showed the world that if you dont agree with the standards, policies and programs in place (to prevent this type of unilateral action) you can grab a few countries (Estonia?) and decide the fate of the world... Ya ya ya there are more countries than just Estonia, but my point is that who are the Americans to police the world? The policies of the body (UN) put in place to deal with this sort of thing are what need to be dealt with first.

Did you hear that when you put your ear to the ground?

I make my arguments on actual, known facts and statistics. You base your arguments on subjective interpretations of an inanimate object's "perspective."

We'll let the readers decide this one.

Perhaps, but its relevance (or lack thereof) could not be more clear.

The UN is falling apart at the seams. It allowed Libya (run by murderous thugs) to join the human rights committee, and retains France (a nation of cowards) on the security council. Its directives have not been taken seriously for decades. It is plagued by insider deals and scandal.

The UN reaps what it sows. Ten years from now, it will not exist at all. And to that I say, good riddance.

This is just the first article that popped up... don't have time for a real search.

You have yet to post any of these known facts and statistics or sources for them. You are absolutely full of shit and nowhere near as intelligent as you go around telling everybody you are.

NATO, the UN... America's business is the world's business. Oh and btw, I guess German taking over all of continental Europe was none of our business either. God youre arguments are pathetic. Go get your legs waxed, Eva Braun...
