You serious about getting OPP banned, EyeBrock?

A warning from a mod, like Mario's cop with a nightstick, should be more than enough.

A North American Union will never happen. Here's why: Mexico is raging poor and densely populated, you can yell cheap labour all you want, but the bottom line is, who wants to add millions of low-income earners to your tax structure? What of Mexico's debt? It's like letting your poor cousin come stay with you while not paying any rent. As for Canada, our economy is amazing, GDP comparable to the U.S.'s with a fraction of the population and industrial base. However, you think the U.S. would stand for integration with a nation that believes universal free healthcare to be a right? We're barely a step above Communists in the eyes of many Americans what with our gamut of socialist policies. What would happen to the U.S. if it's citizens started demanding the same social programs as the Canadians in this new Union? The question is, do we really want each others problems? I would say emphatically, no.

I saved this quote during the Federal Election debates and after researching to see if it was true. It was no word of a lie, Harper said these things. You have to say these sort of things to not become an "anti american" ...imagine that. Canada is in a poor (puppet) state of mind. No sane right wing American would vote for some president who said that sort of thing about his own country...(hell, they kicked some president out for getting a blow job by some tramp!!) but right wingers in Canada vote this ignorant prick into office and call themselves Pro Canadian.....you can see the logic ..right??? (scratch, scratch)

Perhaps Mr.Harper is more critical of his own country because he cares more about it? I also have expectations of what this country is and if it isn't living up to them I will criticise it until it does. I will be harsher on where I live and what my country does than any other country in the world. I even support separatism from this country if it fails and does not live up to itself. Some might look at this as anti-Canadianism but I would say it is the opposite because Canada should be something higher and have standards and once it starts getting below par it is not worth standing up for and should be targeted as much as possible to bring it back up to its previous held status.

The truth should always be told as well and Mr.Harper’s previous statements are probably correct Canada has become too much of a welfare state. There was a time when welfare was created people were more or less ashamed to be on it and would get off as soon as they could and were only on it until they got work. Now especially here we have people trying to live off the bloody thing and is hardly a programme for when the working need help but more or less throwing money and handouts for many who don’t want to even work. So why pay for people who don’t even want to work? Taxpayer’s money can be spent more usually elsewhere. For the $100,000,000 we are spending on welfare we could give 10,000 students in B.C. $10,000 worth of scholarships each or give 20,000 students $5,000 scholarships.

Well.. the thing is... You don't seem to have any say about it... This is all done behind your backs without any possibility to vote.

.. and as far as cheap labour goes. A truly impoverished populous is a truly powerless populous.

Sorry mate.... when Harper goes around saying crap like that he's a wet noodle. No offense, there's always a brighter side and I hear you. but that's not what you expect from strong leadership.

Not ..."I know you expect me to say something and I'll give it to you...and not only that put me on record that I kiss your ass to get there. I'll sell my mom... please back me!"

Look. I've heard the exact same arguments here in Sweden to get rid of all sorst of wellfair but the trouth is that the amount of dipshits who cheat the system is ridiculously miniscule in comparisone to the amount of people it saves from poverty and crime. Instead of sending people off on the streets it provides them with a much better oportunity or platform, if you will, to get a job. Atleast here in Sweden the people who are depending on wellfair as a source of income are forced to send a sirten amount of job applications every week. They allsoe have to attend "job courses" to keep them occupied and to further improve their job application skills and such.

Really yet your beloved country is going into generation three of welfare rats. What are they doing with those job applications wall papering their welfare huts? Or wiping their asses with the official forms you claim they fill out?

I'd rather be part of a union with the US than Europe, the thought of being connected to Socialist Countries and their weak, lame and lazy populace makes me ill. Hail America, I'll watch Europe and England burn from the sidelines thanks.
