In the last few days heavy snows and in general bad weather have hit the area of North Dakota that the World Junior Hockey tournament is being held. Most of the highways heading back to Canada were closed and many Canadians that were there to see one or more of the Team Canada games were stranded. The people of the area opened their homes for many of the strangers that could not find hotel rooms and had no where to stay. Very nice I think.

As a guy that grew up in Winnipeg, I have been to ND many times. The people in that area are always very nice.
Thanks for the post !!

I thought it would be nice to see a post about the people south of the border that wasn't negative. There are good folks everywhere.

People can always get along fine as long as they don't talk about God and politics!!
Nice story, though. Mum's a proud Winnipegger and my guess would be that this story of N.D. hospitality would come as no surprise to her!
