A new low? Only in degree. The west, was for too long safe in our own ignorance. We could ignore Rewanda. We could ignore the chemical attacks on the Kurds. We could ignore all manner of things that seemed to have no effect on us. We felt we could not ignore an attack on those we saw as ourselves. Nothing had changed but the victims.

Look, there have been plenty of heinous acts by humanity down through the ages, but I can't think of anything quite like this.

I mean to use people to kill people with, when has that been done? And some of them children?

To crash one plane, just to make sure the cameras are on to film the second one going in. (Or, to smash a second just to prove the first wasn't an accident.)

To kill masses of people, merely and simply to let them know you don't like them.

When have there been things like this?

Sure, brutality is brutality, and millions and millions have been killed for this and that.

But even Vlad the Impaler could say he enjoyed seeing people suffer. This doesn't even rise to that level.

SIZE. ITS THE FUCKING SIZE. NOTHING TO DO WITH EXPLOSIVE POWER. NOTHING TO DO WITH ROCKETS OR SPEED.
It has everything to do with "explosive power" and speed. The fact that you singled out size is pedestrian at best; idiotic: most likely.

Thank you. Size has no bearing in this discussion. It ignores way to many factors.

Is the key point in this thread how Canadians feel about Americans, and not who did what to whom?

It is, but relative to how Americans feel about America, it's a little silly to worry about it. If anything, Canadians seem to be pretty charitable.

$1:
Angus Reid Global Monitor : Polls & Research
Americans Question Bush on 9/11 Intelligence
October 14, 2006

Many adults in the United States believe the current federal government has not been completely forthcoming on the issue of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, according to a poll by the New York Times and CBS News. 53 per cent of respondents think the Bush administration is hiding something, and 28 per cent believe it is lying.

Only 16 per cent of respondents say the government headed by U.S. president George W. Bush is telling the truth on what it knew prior to the terrorist attacks, down five points since May 2002.

Here is what history and real world experience tells us.

If Canada were attacked to the intensity that the USA has experienced we would respond with whatever force we could muster without hesitation. There would be also a lot less apologies and a lot more outright animosity towards the enemy and proponents of CTs and self blaming would be openly chastised.

When push comes to shove I know Canada shoves back hard. How can a people like that even begin to chastise their brethren in the USA or Israel for acting no different (or in some cases far more restrained) then we ever will?

Exactly, what were they suppose to do break out friendship circles and go to the middle east and hand out teddy bears , pleading for restraint on their part. Give me a break.

Instead we have the left saying well you must of done something to piss them off so in essence you deserve it, then you have the loony left saying it was an inside job.

Either way, when the US our closest neighbor and most important trading partner was attacked, to me it was an attack on us as well. If people dont care what happens in their neighbors backyard, I certainly wouldn't want them living in my community.

Bush wasn't in power for long before 911 happened, so if your going to blame anyone blame Clinton, do your homework.

Yes apparently the memo that the Clinton folks left for Condoleeza entitled "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States" was not clear enough.
Maybe it was buried under all the pulled "W"'s off the keyboard and damaged telephones that the Clinton children left behind. The Bush Admin had to spend it's initial months making repairs. BTW, no threat was ever expressed in the foreign polity debriefing. That was proven long ago. Trying to congure up another fake memo story?

This is a true reflection of Canadian mistrust in the current state of politics across the continent. Canadians can't even trust our own prostitute politicians, why should Canadians trust anyone else.

No kidding,it should be "Ihavenobrainandcantthinkformyself.com.

Funny how some can let their hatred and bigotry dictate how they live and think. They fall victim to the very thing they accuse the USA of doing, thinking for them.

Funny thing is their so brainwashed they dont see it.

I put my PH in the drawer after TET. It seems a guy got one because he broke his leg tripping over a mop during a panic, "incoming" alert.

I bet that if a poll was done today, it would only have increased numbers for those who blame elements of the US government (NOT THE US ITSELF and NOT BUSH) for 9/11. A rogue network has hijacked America's political system and it's time we all face that.

9/11 Truth Ends War and it's time for Truth.

Amen to that, brother.
