If the devil told you the truth would it then be a lie?

That's the problem with Moore.

Moore's problem is he takes things out of context and ignores facts that don't support his argument.

I would say he's worse. At least people who blindly criticise aren't informed. It's the ones who are informed that ignore facts that I have a problem with.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good Moore documentry. I thought Bowling for Columbine was really well done, but after reading one of his books and watching fahrenheit 9/11 I've just learned to take anything he says with a grain of salt and do my own research on the issue before forming opinions.

He takes context and ignores facts? He ignored the fact about the woman who had to work three jobs to support her two son's? One of them shot a classmate he was showing how the system works.Charlton Heston believes everyone should own a gun and know how to kill anyone who trespasses on your property he really is from the "Old West Day" craze. When MM confronted Dick Clark about the poor Mother he was treated like a "creep" and the door was slammed in his face. The rich are richer the poor are getting poorer. He is confronting our system and how it works. He has the backbone to stand up to these rich "despots".I applaud him.

If you'd actually bothered to read what I wrote, I said I thought Bowling for Columbine was really well done.

What did you think of Fahrenheit 9/11? I know of a few people who think Bush planned this himself,I don't know too much about it though. It does sound strange how Bush sat in the classroom for up to half an hour after being told what happened....was it an conspiracy? I for one will never know even though there are tons of books being read about it. I really wasn't overly interested in it

Well, that's really a whole different topic that I'm not going to get into here. Suffice to say about Fahrenheit 9/11, it was a seriously biased documentry. I read "Dude, where's my country?", and while the first half of the book was decent, it was painfully obvious toward the end of it he was just slamming conservatives without any real reason.

Like I said, I like some of the stuff he does, but I'm sure as hell not going to take him as an unbiased source.

No, in Canada you get put on long waiting lists and by the time its your time your condition may have deteriorated so far that the medical treatment is far more expensive than it could have been, or you're terminal. .

Well no, if you need emergency, life saving treatment NOW, for cancer surgery or whatever, you receive it NOW.

No one asks if you can afford to pay for your treatment, or if you have health coverage as they do in the States

You just like to listen to stories from old people whinning because they cant get their selective surgery right now

:D
