Just curious as to what everybody would do.

Open the hatches and offer doughnuts and coffee from Tim Horton's like a good neighbor should :D

Well heck... do that and we'd never get rid of 'em. ;)

Agreed..but what do we do then?
Tell them that they are bad and not to do it again?

I don't know about you but I'd like to see some canuck muscle up north.
Only problem is that we don't have much muscle... :(

I would tell the ice braker to stand down while I keep trying to communicate with the sub. After that I would try to talk to the US asking them why the sub is there and tell them to leave. If the US doesnt respond then I would start preparing my country for war.

We post the location of their sub publicaly, no nation wants their sub's locations to be revealed. Also as people have suggested we could harrass the submarine until in attempts to leave Canadian Waters.

I mean that in defending Canada. If the US doesnt respond and they have a sub in our waters it might mean that they are about to invade us. Im not saying that we would win because we would loose Im saying that I would make an attempt to defend Canada.
