Disappointment, shake my head at my fellow Canadians! Americans are our friends, buddy's. Their a country bigger then us, but the same. Same thinkers, oh...you just don't get things! Their just a bigger number of populace then WE are. See the world, travel. North America IS the best continent! We have the most to offer we did it with our unity. And USA and Canada are the most admired countries in the world because we've worked to gether to grow as people with NO borders. Every other country in the world is jelous of our relationship because we figured out wealth and friendship for our people.

Canadians can act pissed now..........Hope you are not booking trips to Disney World or a Cruise off Miami. If you are. Well........???????????????

JustKate JustKate:
Just a question for both? A Canadian soldier, An American soldier. Do you want them to be friends? Politics can hurt those guys you know, their relationship! Their all fighting for us, our kids, grandparents everything. Military guys are NOT politians, they are our fighters only. Always no matter what support the USA troops like we do the Canadian troops. On the ground, they are the same and protect each other just like they hope we do at home as citizens of our countries.

Do people get that?

I'm quite certain you don't, Kate. In fact, on the basis of your posts I suspect you may be completely bereft of any capacity for critical thought. PDT_Armataz_01_28

A lot of Americans are not aware of the differences between us and the Americans.

They do not educate themselves on our history and culture, but we get a lot of it in our school systems, and on TV.

If only Americans would learn about us and other countries in the world, they may be more understanding about our way of life, and that we are not just another state or countries like the US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.

First of all, why should the Americans educate themselves on the Canadian culture? or Canadian history? Do you even understand why the Canadians are getting full of American cultures on the media and learning American history?

My opinion is that, learning a British history would be worth it.

Yank Great learning Canadian History would help you. We had very similar beginings but ended up very different. Mayby it would help you to understand how events can truly change the course of history.

And I was very upset that our school offered an American History course but no British history course

Canada used to teach the British history, but now that has been replaced by the American history(But you still can learn the British history in the Canadian universities).

I was only saying that there is no point of teaching the Canadian history in the American schools.
besides, I already fully understand why the two nations became so different.

You may not see the point but I think that the American public school system is SEVERELY lacking in the way it educates its students. Not just as a whole but in the ways of the world.
Why learn about the rest of the world? Because the world is more than just the USA.

I dont know if it is merely because of the poor quality that our education system seems to be falling to, or what - but, American schools teach America and nothing else --- and that is disturbing.

There is so much the rest of the world has to offer and I believe that should be taught.

But for every cool one I meet, I meet a real ignorant asshole. But I know not all you guys are like that.

Funny, the same thing is true of home too. Most of them were usually tourists from Ontario too.
