We are stopping them at 36,000 ft. now, I wonder why this plane wasn't stopped a lot earlier?

Why did Canada allow them into our airspace. ?

Because we have nothing to stop them

CanuckEMT CanuckEMT:
When I used to live in White Rock A long time ago it was a pain to cross at the Peace Arch crossing. I would use 176 st or the Sumas crossing.

Long way around to BIrch Bay though in the summer and you would loose some valuable babewatching time.....

Oh, and my friend I will plead guilty to saying that Canadian babes are, on average, far more beautiful than the average American girl. My wife hates my girl-watching when we're in B.C. be it summer, spring, winter, or fall.

Canadian women are just more feminine than American women.

elk6x6 elk6x6:
Criminal record??? Jackass. Getting drunk on your 21st birthday and spending the night in the drunk tank. How serious is that?? I was not charged with a crime for the coffee pot, it was just a foot note on my record. That is what he was going to keep me out for, Jackass. In over 50 years before and since the drunk incident there are no other infractions on my record. That should say more about me than what is on my record. Your system is so F#*ked up that it is going to keep a generally honest and decent US citizen out but you let our cowards, draft dodgers and deserters in and then build monuments to them. That is real JACKASS, Jackass.

Come one now elk6x6, you were arrested in the US and it is obviously available to American and Canadian law enforcement. Criminal record or not, you were a grown up and got yourself in a bit of a pinch. It doesn't matter how long ago it was, you know that, and I am sure you taught your son the same.

The bottom line on your story is that you were arrested once in the US, the Canadian customs official discovered this when you came into their country (doing their jobs), gave you a hard time about it and then let you through.

I have hit some real characters at the border too, but it is dumb luck whether you get pushed a bit or get the "thankyou, drive through". You can't blame them for doing their jobs.

I find it ironic that you have posted this in the thread that is criticizing the Canadians for being too lax at their border.

You don't want to go to Lethbridge anyways, you want to go north of PrinceAlbert to drink beer and fish.

It is true I was arrested once. That was for "Drunk and Disorderly" That is not the reason he was going to deny me entry to Canada. There was a foot note on the paper work that said something like "Broke coffee pot, will replace" Your overzellous border guard was going to keep me out because he figured in Canada it was a felony. I was not charged with destruction of the pot. It was almost certain that we were not going to be let in until my son told him about the purchase of the new pick up. Then things changed real quick and we were allowed to go. If it had not been for the big purchase we would have been denied.

Now do you think I want to drive over 100 miles to the border and then be turned back because I am just going North to visit friends? NO! Do you think that I want to send $250 to Ottowa to buy a parden for a crime that I wasn't charged with? NO! Do you think I want to spend $100 for a passport for each member of my family just so that we can take a week end trip to Lethbridge for the best Chinese food? NO! It's no big deal, I don't think you will miss me.

Here's the Latest!
Talk about waffling, looks like big W does that too!
I live on the border and today I heard on WRIF radio in Detroit one of the morning radio guys said " the only thing we have to worry about coming over from Canada is the toxic waste coming over in their damn garbage! HAHAHA"

kerfuffled - Thanks for the article. We are so fucked with shit like this... Why is Bush confused? OK... remember that both Democrats and Republicans want illegal immigrants...

Democrats hate middle class Americans and want to replace us all with Mexicans. For some bizarre reason. Democrats feel they can find more votes from people who are not white-anglo-protestants. Brain damaged is all I can say.

Republicans, in support of business, want more laborers who will work at or below minumum wage. Republicans want middle class Americans to live like Mexicans in cardboard huts, but show up promptly for work.

So if American National Security clashes with Spanish speaking voters and mud hut laborers, then that's a problem from Bush's point of view.

I wish we could ship all the Democrats and Republicans to Mexico where they could be close to their friends.

If they succeed in smuggling in half of Mexico, I may have to scoot myself to Canada. :)
