Well... maybe Americans are better drivers (this is a semi-troll)....
I have to admit that I never gave any thought to the difference between Canadian v.s. American drivers. I have driven a little in Canada and occaisionally see Canadians in the Seattle area. Actually, I always thought that I had a problem in Canada because the speed limit signs say 70 and I keep thinking that it means 70 miles per hour.
Anyway I was surprised to see this discussion where a Canadian talks about how great are the American drivers. Well... isn't this special?

I had my annual trip to Table Mountain, and I have to admit I am embarrassed at how much nicer drivers are down here compared to BC. You heard me right.
On the five hours drive there, and the five hours back, I got cut off in traffic only once, probably because I was speeding. I didn't see people tailgating, or cutting in and out of traffic. The fast lane was clear except for drivers passing when it was posted as such.
I, one the other hand, cut a few people off and only once did I get honked at. No fists being shaken out a window, or a person hoisting a middle finger for me to see.
It was a different story once I returned. I had just gotten back on 176th St Cloverdale, not two minutes before I got cut off. I didn't make it back to the Trans-Canada beofre cutting someone else off.
Canadians get all smug about health care, gun control etc. We really need to learn to drive with civility and reason.
