Bring Omar home? Why?

The Globe and Mail's editorial yesterday called for Canada to speak up and arrange to have Omar Khadr returned to Canada.

Why?

Because, says the national newspaper, while the 20-year-old may be a suspected terrorist who fought alongside al-Qaeda and in the process may have murdered a U.S. soldier, he is still a Canadian citizen.

And if that rationale doesn'€™t make you gag, you are probably pining for the return of the Taliban and consider the United States the Great Satan, all while enjoying the comforts of infidel life afforded you by the devil south of us.

Khadr was 15 when he joined his father, Ahmed Said Khadr, in their mission to kill soldiers who had invaded Afghanistan following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Khadr is accused of throwing a grenade during a firefight that killed a U.S. soldier and blinded another.

On Monday, a U.S. military commission dismissed charges against Khadr because prosecutors failed to label him an "unlawful"€Â

I agree that these people are a waste of qxygen, and there is a precident for revoking their citizenship, as that has been done in the past for men who lied when applying to enter Canada, after WW2, about their links to Nazi attrocities. None of them are anything other than terrorist supporters.

It now comes out that the 27 year old sister had guess who at her wedding ? Osama Bhin Laudin, thats who......... And the Father was a main financial fund raiser for , guess who , again? . And Daddy was killed in a gun fight, in Pakistan, while in company with the number 3 guy in El Queda.

Of course, they want to stay in Canada, where they are safe and able to spout their crap, and have a nice life.

It is typical of the Globe and Mail to take such a position, it doesn't surprsie me at all.

What ever happend to all the "Canadians" that were evacuated from Lebanon during the last conflict there? Perhaps you could buy back their Canadian passports for $5,000 per if they promise to stay in their homeland.

Killing you're allies in a time of conflict is just the same as killing you're countrymen or fighting for the other side, which is exactly what he said he was doing. He dosen't deserve to be called a Canadian and the people who let that family of jackels in are fools.
