I think the reason that Newfoundland deserves such recognition is solely based on its People...

I just came back from vacation in NFLD a couple weeks ago. There is nothing more worrysome than driving on NFLD highways and not being able to completely take in the scenery because you are constantly watching out for Moose .. ... I love being right in St Johns. The view from Signal Hill is awesome at night. Although, in all honesty, its not much different from being up in my old apartment in Halifax on the 11th floor and seeing the same colored street lights and such. Ill go back again someday, but this time we will fly or take the other boat as a 9 1/2 hour drive across the island with 2 small kids isnt all its cracked up to be ... Take care
