Lots of forums have this at the bottom, so I decided to add it. I couldn't find a working mod for nuke/phpbb so i had to piece together my own.

Sorry for the last 20min the forum page was loading VERY slow. Its now fixed and the list doens't add much load time to the forum index.

The list shows the "# registered users visit during the last 24 hours"

What's the purpose or advantage of it? It seems to take up a bit of room, and you say it slows things down (every bit counts). What is the up side?

It doesn't seem to be slowing things down, and, as lily suggested, it's interesting to see how many lurkers there are here.

it should not slow it down, the list is cached every couple hours. So some random person every X amount of hourse might get a slower page load.
