The issue isn't that complicated, imo. Should he be prescribed medical marijuana for PTSD (or some other similar mental health issue) he should be put on immediate administrative (desk) duty -- which he was. So long as he's able to perform his desk duties he should be able to toke up privately at di... |

The restaurant industry is a gong show... I worked there briefly over the summer as an Expo (between the kitchen & servers in the pass-thru). I've never, in my short life, experienced such a stressful addiction-prone work environment in my life. The cooks and servers would often party multiple n... |

I love Costco. My family definitely shops their loyally. Not everything is dirt "cheap". You have to know your prices. But this list and everything else make it a solid corporate entity. The only negatives is my local locations need to expand so badly! Richmond Costco is almost always a go... |

Bart's proposal is actually a sound one in my opinion. The only feasible route for a bridge to Vancouver Island that would warrant the traffic volumes is out of Sydney, BC across the few Islands there and out at Washington State and connecting up to the I-5 at Mount Vernon. You could do away with t... |

The downsides of a non-amalgamated Metro Vancouver: the loonie bins in Vancouver proper have a field day thrusting bike lanes, door knob specifications and unused electric car power up parking spaces on to the population. On my daily commute I have yet to encounter a red light at the Ontario St. @ S... |

I've only experienced Winnipeg & Vancouver in rush hours. Vancouver is not good. The issue is the BANANAs - Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anything - & NIMBYs - Not In My Back Yard - as well as environmentalists of Metro Vancouver have produced a culture where development is quite di... |

The crack cocaine omission was the top story on CNN for 3h yesterday afternoon online. It was the second most read story on the entire BBC yesterday. It was covered liv... |

Ford's approval rating has risen 5 points since this news broke. Which reveals something not-to-surprising about conservatives. That they'll vote conservative regardless of the candidate? Nothing too surprsing there. I wonder if some of Rob Ford's rivals on the right are considering a challenge tho... |

Why would you think being gay would automatically mean you don't want kids? Your kind of begging the question. If you're gay and have biological kids, do you become a breeder? I was more wondering if the desire to have children would override your complete disinterest in the opposite sex? I'm kinda... |

There protest (Greenpeace re: Kinder Morgan offices in Metro Vancouver) was laughable. They chose a day when there were no scheduled shipments! No effect to Kinder's business that day. BC will have this nonsense fire up if Northern Gateway is approved. Its all but lost any social license from the ge... |

In BC...at least in Metro Vancouver...you know when to watch out for bad drivers by the combination of a $70,000+ new car (BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, Porsche, etc.) and the 'L' (Learner) or 'N' afixed to it. Not once have I seen a pricey car with an L or N on it and it has NOT been a spoiled Asian kid un... |

I hate it when they do this. For crying out loud. The Nobel Peace Prize committee has no sense of patience anymore. I mean, bloody wait until you see if these organizations/people are actually SUCCESSFUL before endowing them with recognition. Its similar to Obama getting it after JUST getting into o... |
