Does the EU/West have enough oil/gas reserves to withstand and hold out on any move by Russia to turn off the taps? Definitely disruptive to markets, but I'm just curious (also being Spring as of today) if its something that could be dealt with without too much pain.

The PCs don't really seem like they're much of the C anymore and are all about the P. Ever since the deficit slaying days of Klein I feel Red Toryism has taken over that party from the Reformers. All the small-c fiscal conservatives have mostly jumped ship to the Wildrose it appears. Its also seems ...

Premier Nenshi? Mayor Naheed Nenshi isn’t ruling out a run for Alberta premier, saying he will take a “very serious part” in the next election. Asked if he would consider a run for the province’s top job after Alison Redford annouced Wednesday she was stepping down, Nenshi was coy about his intentio...

Just saw this live on CBC.

Now time for Danielle Smith. Exciting times in Alberta. About time for the end of the PC dynasty.

8O 8O 8O As a 21-year-old in 2014 am I going to be telling my kids someday in 20 years about the new Cold War and Russia 2.0? 8O 8O 8O If there wasn't so much on the line it'd be laughable how much history is repeating itself here.... But hell, maybe restarting the old war machines in a new Cold War...

Gay Christians as Jewish Nazis? Rigggghhhttt. Did you read a word I said man? Interpretation. All religions evolve and change and have many schools of thinking. Gay Christians aren't Jewish Nazis. Hardly. And again, like I said many so-called Christian ministers used the Bible to justify racial segr...

Lets not forget the role of Christian priests/pastors in justifying the enslavement and segregation of African Americans in the South. But then it was Christian abolitionists and civil rights leaders that ended this injustice too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8JsRx2lois Same argument...

Our politicians and police are spineless. Even when we've had judges with some smalls to order that the police dissemble the protest, the police (on the administration's hesitance) are to scared to take real action. The extreme elements of the Native community hold us hostage as a country. Just wait...

What are they going to do--handcuff the pastor and throw him in jail? Shut down the church and all the local charity work it supports? A church isn't the same as a coffee shop refusing to serve gays. What gay man in their right mind would be a Christian anyways? God's instructions for practciing ma...

 Bart, I get what you're trying to do. But lets dispel any myths here. As a gay man, I have no desire to ever get married in a religious institution that's core tenants and institution oppose the recognition of my marriage. I can only speak for myself. Still, I'm very confident the vast majori...

I like that proposal actually. Yah, it is rather laughable our "sanctions", but I understand if its just a round one kind of starter kick at the can. And actually, I'm impressed with France (that link above ^^). They're seriously considering cancelling that $1 billion + military contract w...

Or as those group of kids who do have genuine/authentic allergic/medical reasons not to be vaccinated grow to be seniors and have lower immune responses and something like the measles COULD kill them.

The whole crux of the matter comes down TO the kids who have *serious* allergies/adverse reactions and cannot get some vaccinations. If parents with children that have absolutely no medical reason not to get a vaccination opt out, and then get the measles or whatever then they put that group of kids...

That's why if you're medically tested and deemed to have risks/allergic reactions to vaccines you'd be exempted.

I'm saying children that otherwise have no medical reason to exempt them from vaccination.
