Maybe we should use sponges like the Romans.

Sheryl Crow: Oh, damn, there's no sponge in this stall. Hey! Can you pass me the one over there?
Person 2: Sure! Just let me finish with it.
Sheryl Crow: Super! *takes sponge from under the stall wall* Thanks!

.... somehow I don't think so.

I'm not aware of the restrictions on acquiring a fully automatic firearm In the US, to get a fully auto firearm one must first apply to the BATF for a transfer permit. They do background checks and look at everything. People have been rejected for having too many speeding tickets. After that, you m...

Imagine how many more he'd have killed if he'd had an automatic weapon. Which is interesting because in the US, the checks they put on people who want to own a Class III device (silencer, full auto, etc) are so thurough that there has never been a crime committed with a private, legally owned fully...

How are they so restrained? Because they may have to wait 10 days or so? That would, in fact, be the very definition of restrained, but in an organized socieity some restraint is inevitable. However, the goal of the restraint must be to let those who are responsible and qualified to do what they pl...

It is easy to see the differences. There are plenty of statistics showing the truth. Don't ignore things because you don't like them. There are multiple confounding variables that make any attempt to pin the difference in murder rate between Europe and the US on a single set of gun control laws an ...

Gun violence is more likely to result in death than other violence. That's why Guns are controlled. This is oft-repeated but purely conjecture since there is absolutly no way to substantiate it. To do so you would need to not only know the number of incidents where each type of violence was used bu...

Gun Control benefits us all more than Gun "Rights". The Proof is what happens everyday when comparing the US to Western Europe. What happens when you compare Europe to the US is you compare apples to oranges. "Europe" does not have gun control laws. *Some* European nations have ...

They obviously failed in this regard as he had been admitted to a mental health unit in 2005. That's my point exactaly. The system they have for what we would call restricted and non-restricted firearms has far too many holes. Blaming the object because a faulty system allowed an unqualified person...

Then there is the chance that with impulse you could have someone go postal and as they have a gun already and don't have the time to cool off... Except that, in and of itself, is a fallacy. People do not "snap", use a [insert object here] and go on a rampage before they 'cool off'. The p...

Gigantic sterios are the urban equivalent of jacked-up trucks. Here in Prince George we have guys running around with Ford F-350s that stand four foot at the *running boards*, dualie mud tires in the back and turbos you can hear over the V-8 Diesel. Such vehicles are not practical in a city so guys ...
