Will the Conservatives ever do anything that will make you happy, other than lose an election? I doubt it. As for me, I prefer governments who do what they've been elected to do, lead this country with integrity. The Liberals couldn't do it, the cons have been. Until they fuck up, I'm a Conservative...

Nope, I really don't. I was just surmising. They write poorly, it's called an opinion and I don't need to be an expert to express one. Hell, I don't even need to prove if I'm right, that's the beauty of opinions. If you would like, "The Hobbit" is the only decent work Tolkien produced, hi...

If you'll care to notice, I said how I thought they had really good ideas and premises for stories, it's their ability I'm questioning. Just because something is popular with the masses does not mean that it is of high calibre. If that was the case, reality tv and wrestling would be the creme de la...

Excluding a kid seems counter to what the season represents, for both religious and non-religious people. As for the "jumping to prejudices" poster, your bias is showing.

Obviously this is similar to Ryan29's Liberal thread. Recent/current scandals; - Flip flopping on accountability (taking in David Emerson after he switched parties and appointing an unelected member to his cabinet). - Reneging on a promise not to tax income trusts. - Breaking a promise to build 3 h...

It's interesting that the article mentions this is being done to make sure artists get their fair share. Most of the money from cd sales goes to the record producer and the label, artists predominantly make their money from tickets at concert sales and merchandizing. Downloading is like free adverti...

Considering the lack of literary merit portrayed by Pullman, I have to agree. Our children should be reading books written by competent authors, not something that could have been whipped up by their classmates. This is a disturbing trend, Brown, Rowling, Pullman, they all have really good ideas, t...

Those are some damn salient questions. In the realm of global warming, it always gives me pause that any debate or dissent is stifled or mocked. The scientific method is being carelessly tossed aside to further what seems to be an agenda, political or otherwise. We all need to take a step back from ...

I believe we should be researching green energy. But Gore and his crew are raking in millions of dollars every year, and lining their pockets with it. using it to fund political campaigns completly unrelated to the cause. and basically its all a giant scam.. and the world is full of useful idiots w...

Once you legalize it, you can regulate it and most importantly, tax it. Remember Al Capone? It was the tax man that brought him down, not the law dog.

Chris Simon is an Indian? What, like 1/32? How that counts, I'll never know. As an aside, does Phil Fontaine not have anything better to do? Like really, he gets paid too much.

Weren't they sovereign before? And didn't they get their asses handed to them? It seems to me that a conquered people stays conquered and if they try to resist, you put that baby to rest. I wonder how the Lakota spell "rebellion", bet it rhymes with "treason".

The officer should have used his baton or just old-fashioned pistol-whipped the guy.
