Well here's the thing, you see, right now Canada has four territorial challenges to its sovereignty in the arctic, Hans Island, two with the USA and one with Russia. Now regardless of past claims, its obvious that Canada will not relinquish its claim on Hans Island for it would show to the US and Ru...

Well the map that displays that the island is outside Canadian waters doesn't take into consideration the fact that the island is claimed by Canada.

It's a good idea, one that should be implimented, but when the US talks about UN reform, the only kind of reform it wants is the kind that would give them even more power in the UN, not less, that much is obvious...

Yeah, I still wonder how France made it on the SC, sure they were a imperialist power, one that got their collective @$$es hauled, but thats another arguement. One thing I worry about though, all member nations rotate, no vetos, what happens if we end up with a SC composed of Iran, N.K., Pakistan, C...

Agreed, the security Council is a useless POS, I mean at the very least do away with the whole VETO deal, that's what really makes the security council useless. I'm willing to bet more resolutions ended in a VETO there than were actually passed. On a side note I wonder why Canada wasn't on the SC, I...

^----- And that is why the US cannot be a peace broker, how can the Palestinians take the whole thing seriously when the US is supplying the weapons used to bomb them??? A third party that doesnt invest a sh!t load of money into one of the sides needs to come in and sort this mess out.

Ah yes, good thing this meeting is, raises the profile of the Tibet issue, and in the name of all that is holy, when is China going to learn that it cannot dictate to the world??? I long for the days when the ROC held the Chinese UN seat and Red China had to sit down and STFU. :?

Once again I suggest all nations pull out of the region, that means no monetary or material support, and let the Israeli's and the Palestinians murder each other off. Give it 5 years and the middle east will be the most peaceful place on the planet, since the populace will be dead. Problem solved, t...

In reference to some of the previous posts, they put forward the idea that if the dispute ever heated up between Denmark and Canada, that the whole of the EU would come down on Canada, I believe this to be very false for one simple reason. Any motion in the EU parliment against Canada would almost f...

Similar yes, I do not disagree with the decision to place BOMARC's in Canada, however useless they were. It meant that nuclear detonations would be taking place over lightly populated NWT and Yukon territories instead of our major population centres, and that was a good thing. However cancelling the...
