Forum: Current Events   Topic: 2nd NHL team in GTA would be called Legacy

this whole idea is a joke , as the NHL is not going to let another team go to toronto as the maple leafs have territorial rights and don't want anyone else that close , and a toronto expansion team would not be a draw in any of the other nhl markets . plus they want to build a 30,000 seat stadium an...

Trudeau was aware when he introuduced this that private members bills rarely ever pass right ? , or did he think just cause he was a trudeau that he would be given a free pass and break the odds ?

the article has some good points , all the liberals can do is critise . and on the auto deal i'm pretty sure they support it as the provincial liberals here do and they claim to be close to obama so how could they oppose anything he supported and if they did that just wouldn't make sense . so once a...

Though this be an interesting topic to discuss as there is once again bill's before the senate on this very subject , they have been introuduced before so its not a new idea but reform has yet to come to the senate . So how's position on the Senate is better Harper's conservatives or Ignatieff's Lib...

i really don't like this guy , maybe he won't get re-elected but you somehow get the feeling he's going to stick around anyways . to be honest i find him rather disturbing and a threat to the world . you have to wonder why the UN doesn't go after people like this , they don't seem to be doing there ...

this isn't going to happen the way turner wants , the reality is iggy and the liberals have a list of people you know the so called star candidates who they will just appoint and never have to face competive nomination meetings or if they do no you else of quality will bother to run . democracy in t...

now that the liberals think deficits are a bad thing , are they going to start calling for other finance ministers removals as well , what about Dwight Duncan from Ontario , he's running a big deficit , maybe he should be asked to quit too . its only fair if they think Flaherty is doing such a bad j...

Dion was finished from the start seems to be the sentiment many have and i think that was true . the reality is Ignatieff and Rae were too upset at losing to ever want to see Dion actually win anything . as the conservatives say about iggy , its all about him . he wanted to be pm , he didn't want di...

What's worse, campaigning to drop the GST and not dropping it when you see how vital it was as a revenue source, and then using that to end deficits, or introducing a GST and then being dumb enough to cut it just when it turns out the revenue is desperately needed? whats worse ? you think increasin...

Once again the liberal position makes no sense . first off there angry there is a deficit , yet they want to spend billions more on handing out EI to people so they don't even have to work or help out the economy . i just don't see how giving out that much extra EI payments in exchange for them to j...

I think its pretty clear that they do , as at the moment the liberals greatest hero Obama is running the USA into a massive trillion dollar debt that makes are deficit look tiny , then we must consider that just about every liberal premier in canada is running somekind of deficit at the moment . so ...

I don't see how a few advertisements would change anyone's opinion. I'm told it affects a few swing votes and that makes it important, though. i'm not going to suggest these ads are going to change the impression that die hard liberals have of ignatieff after all look how many still voted for dion ...

As for me I see a bit of desperation on the part of the Tories. I don't remember ever having seen a party attack so brutally before. I saw the first "Tory slam Iggy" commercial on French television today. well ignatieff is the one threatening to bring down the government as early is june ...
