Maybe he doesn't want to drive down from the family cottage weekend and I don't blame him. He should show up for an event prior to the weekend (if there is one). I don't see why any one should be forced to attend a parade.

I'm surprised that the misleading title of this thread is allowed to stand.

If he's not guilty, then he should keep his job, why should he let the media 'maggots' win.

Heard on the radio coming home today that a top cop in the drug squad at that time (Doug Ford) said the Ford name never came up. They never heard of any drug dealing by him.

After all this tabloid style yellow journalism these days, I have to wonder if there any journalistic standards left in Canada. The CBC runs with the G & M story opening up saying they can’t collaborate the claims of the G & M article. ( but yeah, we'll print it anyway)... :(

If a newspaper prints something contrary to your beliefs, it's crap... Not really... this is a case of the media crying 'Ford' too often. Not to mention these hard to pin down anonymous sources. Doug Ford was just on a CBC news station talking to the GM article. He did well, speaking to the issue o...

More yellow journalism with unnamed sources.. really... I wonder how many of these unnamed sources would be willing to testify in court. Doug Ford should sue. Headlines screaming 'scandal' have become all too common whether the 'scandal' is real or the imagination of the headline editor. The media n...

I've watched it on BBC news, not a hell of a lot in our MSM. Sweden is the last place one would look to as an example of inequality, so I guess socialism isn't the bee all to end all. Take a look around Europe, take Holland and France, all have growing problems with radical Muslims. Yet, some people...

It’s obvious why they didn’t nullify the results, because as the judge said: Mosley said he was not making a finding that the Conservative Party, its candidates or the suppliers providing live and automated robocalls were directly involved in "the campaign to mislead voters." "I am sa...

It appears that if Duffy can establish he was friends with Wright, it's okay. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/inside-politics-blog/2013/05/confusion-swirls-over-which-gifts-a-senator-can-and-cant-accept.html Well, if Wright and Duffy can demonstrate that they were buddies -- gift-exchanging buddies,...

Yes they are, but the media doesn't hype those up as much as they if it's a conservative problem. However, Duffy should resign because he's lied etc. It is concerning now about Nigel Wright, although it's a personal cheque, but Duffy lied about that. I understand Nigel Wright is and has been an outs...

A good reason to either privatize, or open more private retail outlets.

The law requires Senators to declare all gifts over $5000. He was given this money in March and has not declared it, wouldn't have unless this story leaked. I have no problem with a friend giving a gift, a friend of 25 years or so and is known for his generosity. They both had legal cousel so it is...

If so, it bothers me that someone would do that, but then I suppose the people involved should've known better than to use the PMO email system.

You're angry because a friend helped a friend ?

:|

Errr no... I'm ticked that someone would release private emails to the media.

The taxpayer was refunded. I don't care if it was Duffy or another Tory that cut the cheque. That's what I thought. Who gives a shit what name is on the cheque? Exactly. The optics are bad in the political game but it's one friend helping out another at the end of the day. That's exactly what it wa...
