No. People desperate to make a living move to where there are jobs, swallow their pride and take jobs below their abilities, take multiple jobs if they can. Just what multiple jobs would you have these people take? This isn't Canada, but a shit poor country where fishing would have been the only li...

They attempted to use violence and failed just as we are. A heavy handed approach to piracy seems to be destined to fail just as much as the war on drugs. Except there's a bit of a difference between carrying a toke and taking hostage the crew of a cargo ship. Not when you factor in the economics o...

It has very little to do with that specific incident, and much more to do with the political climate in Somalia that led to it happening, mixed with several countries dumping toxic waste on Somalia's shore. With the cod fishery demolished, the Newfs have taken over Fort Mac. These pirates used to b...

Why didn't their approach work in Afghanistan? Because they invaded Afghanistan with the intent to make a socialist paradise out of the place. What they ran up against was a bunch of clods who are far more interested in their own personal and tribal vendettas than in making a nation out of the plac...

Of course Iggy has to say Harper should turf her, but I hope he doesn't. I hope he circles the wagons and keeps her in her post until whenever the next election is. If he ditches her, the problem goes away. If he keeps her, the opposition has a lock on a major issue (which will only grow with time)....

The Liberals didn't give us a surplus, YOU and ME gave Canada a surplus by having less to spend on ourselves because of increased taxes at the municipal level to make up for the shortfall in federal transfer payments! My property taxes on my...
