He does kill someone, but that not intended. He is guilty of carelessness, not of a desire to kill. BS. Everyone knows drunk driving kills, and yet they drive sober to where they're going to get drunk knowing full well they're gonna drive back. Far as I'm concerned, killing someone driving drunk is...

Evidence presented suggested that one of the shots turned Hayward around allowing the shot to enter his back. Know the evidence before presenting a case! Whoop de friggin doo, the guy was still incapacitated due to being rocked by the shots entering his body. The threat likely was eliminated by the...

Clearly, not all of the details are out yet, but I'm personally convinced that nuclear energy really is the way to go for the oilsands.

Although, in the long run, Hydrogen is way of the future.

At least in this thread, you and I agree completely.

And given that the bulk of fossil fuel consumption takes place in our homes and in our vehicles, it brings us back to the original point: consumers of fossil fuels are every bit as responsible for GHG production as producers. Uh huh. At least around here most home heating is natural gas. Canada exp...

Harper never had a hidden agenda - he's simply a slightly more hawkish/fiscally conservative Liberal that's well-liked in Alberta and doesn't mind saying "God bless Canada". His true colours will come out if and when he wins a majority government. I'm not saying he has a hidden agenda, ju...

Y'know, how can that be argued with? After all, open polls on internet news sites are the most accurate means of measuring not only the opinion of the general public, but also of determining who is best equipped to do a job.

Apparently, you have limited knowledge of the criminal code, or juctice in itself. If the man, would of shot the guy only once, twice even, it would of been a case of self defense. But in this case, he shot the victime 5 times. No juge in this country, Liberal or Conservative, would allow the man t...

If I've ever seen a case of manslaughter, this is the case. It's obvious to me that this man shot this drug dealer in defence. The junkie had told others he would kill him if he interfered in his relationship with the daughter and when the father came to get her, he was forced to defend himself. Th...

While such a plan would ultimately benefit the Liberals, I very much doubt the NDP would ever go for it. I don't think they have very much to gain. Take a riding like Edmonton-Strathcona. I'm guessing that at least half of those who cast their votes for the Liberals in the last election would vote ...

In two words, hell no. As to my answer to the question you ask of xerxes, because Islam as a religion is no more violent than Christianity or Juaism. All religions' holy books call for for death and destruction for various reasons. As religions, there is no reason to disriminate agains one or the ot...

I'm not an NDP'er, but if nobody minds me offering my two cents I'd love to add something to this chat.

I think, given that such a plan would require the involvement of the Liberal party to actually work, Liberal input ought to be allowed.

Which party would you vote for? I think it's timely, since we've got one week left until it's a year since the last election. As such, the poll will run for just 1 week.

The water issue of NAFTA. 1. No where in NAFTA does it say that Canada must sell water and all three governments are quoted as saying so. 2. All mention of water in any TA specifically refers to water as a "product". A product must be manufactured, harvested, designed, modified, upgraded ...
