Uncle Sam didn't have a gun to your leaders head that made him sign NAFTA...Canada knew it was in their interest not to go against the U.S. And further more that agreement is a stepping stone towards a united continent, which is a whole other story.. trouble is immigrants dont learn english.. they dont have to -- there are people living close to me that have been in canada 15 yrs and cant speak the language.. it should be manditory that each immigrant attend english as a second language courses until they are fluent... no age exemption...in fac...

How can you sing a National Anthem in another language than the country's official language? How can a government tell me how to speak? What authority do they have to say which languages I profess and want to learn and which songs I want to sing? I will speak in whatever language I want and sing so...

I did not even like when they changed the Canadian Anthem some years back. Keep it English and Canadian. People, would they like us to go to their country insisting we change things to our versions. I agree with the OP and Allen. We are giving over too much and we have to stop it somewhere. I won't...
