Numbers shrank to around three million, because pups were killed in vast numbers by fishermen and hunters, who claimed that the seals were depleting fish stocks. The skins from the pups were sold to the fur trade and made into c...

Im not against the killing of animals for food but the killing of these seals seems pointless. Wait let me guess you are using them for scientific research in the same way the japanese are killing the whales.

fire_i fire_i:
No, they're paid to bash adult seals to feed their families. And in the offseason, they go fish and educate their children.

Im not even going to bother arguing with you if you think that this is a humane way of killing baby seals.

So let me get this right, its the 21st Century and there are people getting paid to bash baby seals and stab them so someone rich person can wear their skin.
In the off season they are probably employed by the Chinese to bash Tibetans and by the Americans to bash Mexicans over the head.
