Human evolution is still on going but it's now being directed into lower biological cost less survivable paths due to the medical support structure for the sick, weak and over sensitive. People that would have died from their overreacting immune systems now can live mostly normal lives. People with ... |

The only reform to driving testing and licencing I will support is one that forces all drivers to take and pass to the new standard. I'd be fair, any current driver could challenge the tests but they would need to score 95% or higher on the practical and written tests, or else be required to enter t... |

PublicAnimalNo9 PublicAnimalNo9: Sounds like the work of some rogue Christians. Either that or some Buddhists felt left out. Could have been some Jainist, you know how they get. Also their symbol makes a much better x than the Star of David. |

DrCaleb DrCaleb: This requires you give them your real name, and phone number. Something I will not do. Where did you read that?
From the link it seems that you just have to run the security check thingy, you don't actually have to do anything or give them any more real information. |

TD has frightfully bad security. The online banking has a character limit of 8 and doesn't allow anything but letters and numbers. They also don't do IP authentication which is nice to use but scary. I'd hope that a computer with an IP address from outside of Canada that has never logged into my onl... |

I don't mean to be rude or confrontational, and these long quoting back and forth can become a bit much. But I see the right to privacy as equal to any other right and I feel strongly about protecting all of them. My simple view is that census data is required by the government to operate effectivel... |

I disagree. It may seem immaterial to you, but there are numerous government agencies that rely on this sort of information in order to make the most efficient use of resources possible. Same goes with the business community. That said, I do hope the business community is paying for this informatio... |

Frankly, I don't see how any of those questions are wildly inappropriate. They might seem obscure to you, but to a statician they make sense. I'm not saying that the information they want to collect is obscure, I'm saying it's private and being forced by law to tell them is wrong. If they want to c... |

Well there's a thought. What if there were financial incentive to complete one? What were some of those questions? If you have a store reward card that's just one of the store's method of tracking your spending habits. A fair trade in my mind, and one I always opt out of. Some of the questions to q... |

If you want to do stuff in the mountains in an area that's at high risk for an avalanche then be sure you're doing it in the ground that's not going to be in path of an avalanche. Another death of someone that didn't follow the advisories. The only thing left to do is to try and learn from this avoi... |

If a business wants my information to make a profit they can pay me for it, not have the government hold a gun to my head and force me to tell them. Some of the questions on the long form were wildly inappropriate, overly intrusive and personal. Privacy is a right we have, I won't give it up to spie... |

What a waste of police time and social services. The charges filed fail all of the basic requirements for those laws within the state of Missouri. Also if the kid was dumb enough to get into a car, maybe this was a good lesson. I predict all charges dropped, but state social workers to try and take ... |
