My first post mentioned cats because I believe the ballpark figure of dead birds at the hands of our house cats is roughly a fucking BILLION a year in the United States. Feigned outrage will get you nowhere. And birds likely kill far more than that. But when a project is required to meet strict sta...

The problem isn't the kids that play, but the random adult "parent" with those kids. Even parents of students aren't allowed in the yard at my public school while it's open and that makes sense to me. Yeah because adult supervision is so terrible. And fuck the private school. During schoo...

I've maxed out my TFSA every year and will keep doing so.

The 10,000 limit seems a bit high. I'd support a scaled amount to keep even with interest being updated in $500 blocks as time goes on.

Well at least these retards didn't move an endangered species to make way for this solar power plant, like they did with the failed Ivanpah solar plant. Although both plants still cook birds. I bet this plant will miss their projected output just like Ivanpah which is running at about 30% of it's pr...

I know of people who have Netflix running 24/7 on a tv in another room while they're gaming. Others with hard drives full of movie torrents they'll never watch. After being an ISP for nearly 20 years, I don't have the same sympathy. Some people are just fucking pigs and eventually ruin everything f...

Makes sense to me that the more you use of something, the more you pay. For high users, maybe offer an unlimited plan, same as with phones. But there's been lots of talk about the internet becoming overused, congested. This seems inevitable to me as the net gets used more and more instead of cable ...

"His lawyer argued the officer had no reason to lie, because the moment Dziekanski picked up a stapler, it became a weapon that justified the use of force."

That needs to stop. The police shouldn't be working on a lower standard of the use of force than the CF was using in Afghanistan.

And she can't do that until the government makes the policy clear. The privacy commissioner has an ongoing job. A new policy doesn't change that job. But even still the commissioner doesn't have the job to question the government's objective. If what was reported is correct the commissioner should ...

How long have moose and ticks co-existed? Then we come along, know better and start spreading pesticide everywhere.

How long had humans and smallpox co-existed?

now that I have a few minutes. . . Nowhere has he said it won't. It would be against the law to release all requested information if that information was protected and not to be released. Not everything requested is given due to a number of guidelines and laws. Not that this new policy changes any ...

Who views it is not my concern; 'Privacy' does not apply in 'public' spaces. Every Government of Alberta facility has cameras in the lobbies, and warning signs that the data recorded by these cameras may be subject to an FOIA request! This is false. Some buildings do but not all. Further has anyone...

I did not claim that video had been requested in the past. It was a possible case where private information could be released without the oversight it had in the past. Exactly what the privacy commissioner is worried about! And if the 'mysterious' source is in the privacy office . . . should we ign...

Not just internet, all information by all government departments.

Sorry I didn't have a comic that perfect fit the topic.

Fuck off.
