The topic of "dangerous" dogs has been discussed before many times but this article hits the nail on the head. It's easy to make generalized statements based on fear or ignorance. Promoting responsible ownership should be the priority, not breed specific bans. In the case of the dog owner in this a...

I really appreciate that you've taken the time to share your opinions. Being new here, and having experience with another site in which topics often seem to get sidetracked, hijacked, and bushwhacked a lot, I can totally relate to the concept of staying out of the threads where flaming seems rampant...

OTTAWA -- The Conservative government will be forced to kill thousands of jobs in the public service to curb spending growth and pay for pricey campaign promises, Opposition MPs warned yesterday. Liberal finance critic John McCallum, who oversaw a massive expenditure review program when the Grits we...

When I have something completely useless to say that means absolutely nothing I reply lots. LOL :D So, do you find that you reply only to certain people, then? Or do you tend to get involved in topics that don't appear to really mean much of anything? What I mean by that is, do you tend to stick mo...

I only recently joined this site, but already, I've noticed that there seems to be a trend where some people post and get a lot of replies, but other people post and get no replies - or worse, they get ignored completely. So, my question is this: In your opinion, what makes you reply to some, but no...

Hi Ash, welcome to CKA. :) Sounds like you've got your fingers in lots of different pies, so to speak. But, whatever helps you pass the time, right? :D I'm pretty new here, too, so, from one newbie to another, Welcome. :)

[align=justify] I've been thinking about this, and I came up with an idea that might help. Read Talk-back! and let me know what you think. I'm just trying to help, and it's just an idea, but maybe it might make a difference that would justify the programmers having gone to so much trouble to create ...

[align=justify] Thanks to denmns for starting this topic. There's been quite a controversy about the Sikhs not conforming to mandatory rules about uniforms not only in the military, but also in other fields such as police work (local, as well as RCMP). My personal opinion on this is that anyone who ...

That was just in Greenland. The sheer amount of water when you add the artic, antartic, Greenland and all the random iceburgs together increases the amount to a number that I have yet to see anyone publish. But from my own math it would seem to be about an inch a year and increasing, my time in Cal...

I figured someone must have put it up here before, this guy needs professional help. It would appear that the person who owns this particular site has some serious issues not only with our country, but perhaps, with himself, as well... Perhaps we could offer him some Canadian beer and doughnuts? Ma...

[align=justify] and that isn't a good thing. I remember when winter was cold, and often characterized by a few feet of snow - which sometimes caused schools to be closed - and summer was warm, but not so blistering hot that you couldn't stand it. Being fair-skinned, red-haired, and blue-eyed, I've a...
