If countries stopped putting national patriotism in the way of space exploration, we can actually do much more. One organization, multiple country backing. Which means income from all of them, astronauts, tech, expertise, all the most brilliant minds in regards to this all working together. That wo... |

For the millionth time, the life expectancy in Canada being greater than that in the USA has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the different healthcare systems. It is a result of the greater gun violence in the USA. If you believe this, you're an idiot. Over the past 5 years the US has averaged ~11,000... |

While cool, they royally f**ked up the science end of things. Guess that's why he writes for faux news... The lesser aging of Sergei Krikalev, for example. His "slower" aging is due to a well understood relativistic effect; he did not "time-traveled to the future -- and back again&quo... |

Ok, to all you religion bashers out there, time to put up or shut the fuck up. Did any of you work over the Easter Holiday? If you did, did you get holiday pay? I worked the whole thing - Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon. I did not get "holiday pay" (although that's not what you get when you work st... |

Why blame it all on politicians - they are us. If a politician did anything but tell us sweet nothings about how everything will be good, who would vote for him? Oh, I don't just blame politicians, but I also accept that the fundamental nature of politics is one which pretty much prevents any form ... |

I'm sure Harper has his plans. I doubt it; politicians have a 5-year lifespan, and as such so do their policies. I doubt that any plan intended to ensure a stable health/EI/CPP/etc system over a 20-30 year span is in any parties books. If it was, adding billions to our debt in an ill-fated attempt ... |

I give Harper props for attempting to use the medium. The question i would have asked is on the issue of Health care as it pertains to the retiring baby boomers and if there is any idea of a strategy at all for at home care over institutional care. After all they are now retiring (early) this year ... |

As if we needed further evidence Harper is a retard. Here's a simple idea - let consenting adults do what they will with their lives. Legalise it (and other drugs), tax it at a rate that recovers the costs to the public (and while you're at it, do the same for tobacco), and come down like the hammer... |

I am surprised that this post didn't garner a few replies - I'm also a newb to the forums, so maybe I'm feeding a troll...none the less, I'll play. I'll state up front that I own firearms and do not believe that we should arbitrarily restrict law-abiding citizens access to them (criminals, the menta... |

Wow, the economist usually does a decent job of reporting, but that article is pure BS. Take this quote: They hold small, discreet conferences on the “missing heritability” problem: if all these human traits are heritable, why are GWAS studies failing so often? The DNA chips should already have iden... |
