That Dude That Dude:
"This desperate measure, he feels, would be necessary to save Canadians from themselves should they freely choose to re-elect a Conservative government."

What a prick.

For a good rundown on it, do check out the topic in the current events section. IMO - The maker of the product should control the sale, not a bureaucrat at the other end of the country. Farmers run the wheat board not some bureaucrat at the other end of the country. Tell that to the western farmers...

Wow, I was wondering why the Liberal Leader vote turnout was so small in comparison to our Premiere vote. I just thought that nobody cared who became the next Liberal leader.

Correction: This was exposed by Elizabeth May recently. The oil sands moguls are making a big splashy media fair out of MINISCULE reductions (1-2%). Considering that the oil sands emissions will consume 25% of the Kyoto targets (ie a LOT of emissions) their petty "reductions" are just win...

So your blaming the consumer for what big business has created for us? Holy Hell, think about it. There wouldn't be a "Big Business" for oil if there wasn't such a big consumer demand. You're blaming the oil companies for creating the market and blaming them for the consequeces of that ma...

I hope this will bring a little more peace to Maher Arar. He definitely deserves some.

Have any of these people actually been to the oil sands or any other oil or gas fields to find out exactly what they're criticizing? They would be very surprised because the oil and gas industry is definitely making a point to reduce green house gasses. If people really want to criticize producers o...

Jack has bravely stood up to the gigantic food companies

Bravely stood up? I didn't realize two faced snakes can stand up but I know for a fact that they're not brave.

All millitary ammunition may have a lead core but it has been jacketed in steel for the last century. The steel (or copper) jackets prevent the bullets from deforming inside the body and keep the lead away from the bloodstream. That's the Geneva convention and where the term "full metal jacket...

Should Canada just pull out and run? The NDP weenies sure think so. Who wants to be a weenie? Not me, that's for sure. Everytime the few of you people out there think Canada should pull out of Afghanistan and leave the Afghan people to fend for themselves just emagine that it's your mom buried half ...

Isn't this just lovely. More money out of our pockets to treat people infected with HIV and AIDS that aren't from Canada. As if they didn't have this planned out before coming. They should all be ashamed but I bet they're all laughing at the moment. I wonder how much refugees are subsidized here in ...

Jack Layton always gives me a good laugh. I would really like to know what he expects out of the Taliban by sitting down to speak with them. If he expects much more than being shot than he's a little off the mark. I wonder if he even knows what the Taliban has done in the past and present. If he doe...

What exactly have the First Nations done? Like I said, mspurrell, you need a history lesson. To think the native peoples had no hand in building this country is pure ignorance. Without the native people of Canada we would be much further behind then we are today. You must have missed those lessons ...
