I'm also sad that he lost in his own riding. Iggy is a decent person, and I honestly believe he started off with a positive campaign and the best of intentions. The problem was the attacks and smears against him were very effective - to the point that the other party's views on him represented him m...

Awesome to see the Greens finally win a seat, and the BQ crash in flames :D

Good luck to the Cons. Even as a left-wing supporters, we should hope they succeed for Canada's sake.

Too bad the name, 'project democracy', is such a complete bald faced lie. How is it a lie? Democracy is majority rule. The majority of Canadians are left-wing thinkers and what holds us back the most is the fact we have split votes. It's more of a flaw with our voting system that prevents true demo...

I hope voting IS just a fad for most of them since many young voters are so ill-informed. However, oddly, I've had the opposite experience. Many of the people my age that I've talked to have no idea what they're voting for, so they're just voting Conservative since that's what mommy and daddy told t...

Just to note, I was being sarcastic. But I thought calling it Alternate Universe Canadaka was really clever. 8O Maybe I'm just too easily amused.

Is this to taunt all the progressive Leaf fans who clearly don't fit in here with all the Conservative leaf-haters? :(

 Genius picture. Nicely done.

Trev, Derby, and Andy said it best. In my riding, the Lib and Cons are neck and neck, so I'll be voting Liberal to stop the Conservatives from winning a majority. Normally I would prefer a Liberal minority, or a Liberal-NDP coalition, but I think a Conservative minority with NDPs and Liberals to kee...

You approach the bible from the literalist perspective, which the majority of Christians don`t follow. Most Christians are Roman Catholics which teaches a contextualist interpretation. That is to say...we would accept things like evolution, and instead approach the Adam and Eve story from an allegor...

What was the point of posting all the comments, but not taking the time to actually address the vast majority of problems brought up in them? 8O

I like the comments section better than the article itself.

I always find it questionable when a Newspaper tries to pass itself off as unbiased, and even posts many objective articles criticizing the Cons on important issues, then proceeds to endorse them - dismissing everything else.

But that is why Jesus came in the first place. What was written in the OT was NOT being followed i.e. it was not being correctly interpreted. He came to fulfill it - to spread the truth of God's word and his good will. So therefore we should follow Jesus' words and his teachings.

What is there to understand? The Bible says all sorts of things that are clearly unacceptable by any sane person, including Christians Jews and Muslims(granted they don't use the Bible, but the Koran clearly draws upon the Bible). Christians may dismiss the harshness of the Old Testament, but their...

You know what's funny? Before this NDP surge, I heard more commending and complimenting of Layton from Cons than even NDP supporters themselves. Now that the NDP has posed a threat to them, you can actually see some Cons championing Iggy and his campaign! If we buy into this as left-wing voter...
