There's also Driver D Cecil. and it's not fair to compare because not to many Dads pick their kids up from school, but it's the stay at home mom that picks up her child from school. The ones that take the time to buckle their child safely into the back seat of the van, gets in, starts the van, and ... |

Just my observations from taking my son for a walk every morning for the last two and half years… A. Drivers most likely to stop at a cross walk and let us cross; school bus drivers and old guys in pick-up trucks B. Drivers most likely to pretend they don’t see us and drive through the cross walk wi... |

I voted women because my brand new f’n car was just rear-ended at a stop sign by a 21 year old girly who was paying more attention to her cell phone than the road! |

Queen is the greatest rock band ever, well maybe The Who is… Either way much of what I hear today is CRAP! I MISS VYNAL! CDs suck! I miss liner notes, cover art, stickers, posters and all the other crazy crap that was stuffed into the album cover. Queen’s Bicycle Race poster, Cheech And Chong’s huge... |

And what happens if someone parks their F350 or Hummer in a green spot?
Seeing as Ikea doesn’t seem to care that three quarters of their family parking spots are being used inappropriately I would guess nothing would happen. |

I voted other. |

It’s too hard to pick just one place.
Vancouver Island, Jasper, Ottawa on Canada Day, Outlet Beach at Sandbanks and a few secret fishing spots in Kananaskis
Too bad we had to cancel our vacation this summer ![Cry Baby [cry]](./images/smilies/crybaby.gif) |

I still don’t think CF bulbs are as great for energy conservation and the environment as they’re advertised to be. But I don’t mind saving a few bucks on my power bill either. I started switching over to CF bulbs back in 2001; they were a bit more expensive back then. One of my biggest irritations w... |

Mercury, more glass, more plastics, more electronics, phosphorescent chemicals, neon gasses, more weight and more packaging and they can’t go into regular household waste, they have to be recycled.
Are these bulbs really saving energy? |

It could be that you need time to adjust but it could also be that the prescription in the glasses is not entirely correct. If you’re not totally comfortable with your prescription then get your glasses checked. I’d suggest making an appointment with your optometrist and have the glasses checked aga... |

Just wait untill the doc puts a rubber glove on and sticks his finger up your ass and begins to roam around in there a bit'TALK ABOUT AWKWARD" Then there’s the GI Doc. Ya know, the guy with the camera on the end of a forty foot cable. You also get a gallon jug of snot to drink the night before... |

I’m sorry, but I find the CBC being bullied very amusing. They’re so accustomed to pushing around the other Canadian networks and getting their way. It must really suck for them having the shoe on the other foot for a change. And yes I agree, Canadian hockey fans will forget all about their outrage ... |

It might have been twenty years ago, I keep forgetting I’ve been in Alberta for ten years now. Time flies. Did they hard cap the rent in Ottawa or limit the amount they could raise the rent? Rent increases were capped at 3.7% per year. By the mid nineties the rent controls were relaxed some. The 3.7... |

Yes it’s tough for anybody looking for an affordable place to live around here. I don’t think rent controls are the answer though. I remember looking for a decent place to rent in Ottawa fifteen years ago. The rental market was heavily regulated then. Rents were cheap but the apartments were TERRIBL... |

We DON’T have enough refineries to meet our own domestic demand. Much of the oil produced here is shipped to the US, refined into fuel then shipped back to Canada. The refineries we do have are old and running at full capacity. The expense, environmental issues, interest in renewable resources and (... |
