Forum: International Politics   Topic: To all who think that Iran is a weak country

Iran went life and death for 8 years with a much smaller nation that's known for military mediocrity {Iraq} that the U.S. rolled over with ease despite a poorly implemented military campaign and working under lots of self imposed limitations. Iran is just lucky that the U.S. doesn't have a lot of ga...

My take? I think the U.S. simply offers a bigger better lifestyle for those with a lot of money, and makes it easier to amass that wealth in the first place. I know a lot of proud Canadians living in the U.S. who would love to come back to Canada but haven't because they have it too good right now w...

In many parts of Canada I've actually experienced more open racism by far than I have in places like Texas. It's definately getting worse here too as the stigma against those being openly racist seems to be fading away making it more and more socially acceptable. I wasn't all that surprised when I h...

hello. im from new jersey near new york city. I am a firm believer that the country of the United States of America is built on greed, corruption, and lies. I greatly admire the country of canada, and it's peoples way of life. I plan on going to school in canad next year, for I am sick of our gover...

You mean when Trudeau was in charge, before the anti-Canadian Conservatives took over? Trudeau set the stage for most of the problems we have today, even if he is remembered for presiding over Canada's "salad days", in fact there were cracks beggining to appear well before the end of his reign. Suc...

I think there's lot of quiet pride in Canada by the Canadian people but in no way does that match {big hockey wins excepting  } the kind of nationalistic uproar you'll see in a country like Austrialia let alone the U.S. I think decades of relative stagnation has a lot to do with that, Canadians...

I've lived in other big cities {L.A. for one} but Toronto *seemed* like it was more urban and anonymous, I did like a lot of things about it though I will miss the mountains and scenery of B.C.

It looks as if the company intends to ship me off to the so called center of the universe in about 8 months time. In a way I'm kind of glad because it will get me out of working graveyard shift in rural B.C. but at the same time I kind of have mixed feelings about Toronto {aka New York Lite} after h...

First of all I have to ask, what the hell were you thinking? Why is it that Americans always seem to miss the obvious? If you weren't prepared to do what ground combat services are known for you shouldn't have signed up. That said I wish you luck and hope you're able to make a decision that doesn't ...

A country like the U.K. or Canada would be orders of magnitude more vulnerable to being virtually shut down by U.S. air and missle strikes and naval interdiction than backward nations like Iraq. Imagine what a Canadian winter would be like when even a limited number of strikes on powerplants, pumpin...

I'm a mix of African American, Mexican American, European and Thai. I have had very few problems with racism in the U.S., most of the problems I did have came from poor blacks rather than any kind of whites. I can't same the same for Canada, where I can expect encounter racial problems on nearly a d...

If you support it then call it what it is, Rosco. The Alberta separtist movement. Don't try to hide behind blaming it on the east, and don't include the rest of the west...that would be like Quebec saying that the P.Q. has support from eastern Ontario to the Atlantic. Better yet, call it what it re...

I support the SPA, why should Albertans live for the benefit of people who dislike and marginalize them? You folks in the East have a country and culture that's built in your image and to your gain while the West loses out, so of course you're happy with the status quo. Simply put Confederation is a...

There is a ton of facts about black voters not having there votes counted. Katherine Harris was Bush's presidential campaign cochairwoman and the Florida secretary of state in charge of ellections. This is a fact. She paid $4 million to Database Technologies to go through Florida's voter rolls and ...

I agree, A great movie and a masterpiece of unabashed propaganda. However between all the heavy editting, twisted facts and quotes taken out of context it seems Michael Moore has a real problem with telling other than his own version of the truth. For one example I had several of my African American...
