The more I read of Sasquack, the more I'm convinced that our species is doomed...not from global warming but by the almost complete scientific illiteracy evident in his posts.

Hmmm...love the deflection around here. Conservatives get caught doing something but it's the Liberals fault. You know, for most of my life I've been listening to Conservatives jabber about taking responsibility. Well, here's your chance, boys. Step up to the plate and demand the resignations of tho...

The Conservatives on this site are hilarious. The Conservatives get caught playing dirty tricks in an NDP riding. The Conservatives back down after getting caught because there's a public outcry. The Conservatives on this site blame the whole thing on the Liberals.

That's their game, Lily.

It was clear from what Dick Harris said that Smith was the one the government wanted people to contact, instead of Cullen. Harris never made that decision on his own...everything this government does is controlled out of the PMO.

I think Samsquanch is pretty much of the opinion that they don't

And now all he has to do is re-write all of the atmospheric science and evolutionary done in the last century or so.

So that's a no. Not at all. In fact the matter of Harper now backing away from this shows that it was unacceptable and he knew it. A member of parliament is ELECTED to represent his or her constituents in Ottawa. Appointing somebody to represent those same constituents to the government, and only t...

So there is an elected MP in this riding, and one was appointed to it instead? Does this count as the conservatives having that riding, and having another MP on their side of the floor?

Maybe you should try reading the links.

Maybe this MP isn't so great, and isn't presenting issues from everyone in this riding. It's not unheard of for MP's to ignore constiuents who don't wave their party flag(this applies to all parties). Or maybe the NDP supporters equate having 2 ways to contact the government as "subverting dem...

Are you going to answer my question? I'm trying to understand what you are talking about. What question was that? The one where you implied that an appointed representative was more democratic than an elected one? I didn't think that deserved an answer. I still don't, but whatever. It is up to the ...

It's still a misrepresentation, Bart. The only long-term planet wide climatological trend is that the temperature is going up. Are some places cooler than others? Yes. Are some years cooler than the previous year? Yes. The overall trend is that the global temperature is increasing though. Your attem...

There is no proof of CO2 AGW

So you are now in the position of having to rewrite the science around the formation of our atmosphere and a good chunk of evolutionary theory.

You can't pick ad choose...either GHGs trap heat, or they don't.

I remember a Liberal MP in Ontario who refused to help a retired war vet who admitted not voting for the Liberal member. Didn't hear any uproar from the NDP or Libs over that one.

If you would have been listening, you would know that the NDP did indeed speak out about that.

You guys aren't very big on reading, are you? First of all, it's an NDP MP, not a Liberal. Second of all, the Conservatives have previously and vocally praised him for his willingness to do non-partisan work both in his riding and in Ottawa. The Conservatives...now that there's been an outcry...are ...

That's a misrepresetation, Bart. You are confusing local weather with global climate.

Wow, you guys are really grasping at straws here aren't you? If a Liberal did this, you'd be screaming bloody murder. By the reasoning of the Harper government, Chretien should have appointed a "go-to person" in every riding not held by a Liberal MP so that they wouldn't have to deal with ...
