Totally for this one. I went to a good friend's ceremony where he vowed his love to his partner. Why would anybody deny two people the right to marry, just because they are the same sex? I think opponents to this just don't have any gay friends. If they did they would see that their is nothing to be... |

Canada’s border security or lack of, did it contribute to the death of the four RCMP officers at Mayerthorpe, Alta? Here’s two quotes from today’s papers. The Toronto Sun, 22 Mar 05 AN ESTIMATED 1,600 cars managed to "blow by" Canadian customs booths to get into the country illegally last year, acco... |

Just to make it clear. I have never advocated becoming more "Americanesque" as its been put. We should do our own thing, let's be Canadian on this. Being Canadian doesn't mean being negligent about our own security. That's my point. I would take Rev's points if he wasn't always trying to drive every... |

Sapper, Just to let you know. I worked for three years alongside the CF guys in Goose Bay, I also did numerous deployments with all arms of the CF in my ten years reg force. I would say that the Canadians are probably the best troops (all -round) I have worked with. The yanks , man for man, are much... |

Eye Brock, you've consistently pushed for Canada to tighten it's policies, to make them more like the USA's. I disagree with that. You keep screaming and I keep screaming back. If you feel this is the best place to live, why do you want to make it more like another place that you, presumably at lea... |

Levrais, I truly wish all Quebec and Quebeckers the best. I believe we will always add something to each others cultures. People just need to grasp the fact that Quebec is more than distinct, its a nation in waiting. Whether that nation stays in Canada in a more mutually acceptable ,but obviously lo... |

Again, when did I say I hate Canada. You are notable for putting words into peoples mouths on your posts. It doesn't help your credibility. I still think its the best place to live on the planet, but it could be better. Stop being a fascist Rav and be open to other points of view. Our democracy allow... |

Oh what a democrat you are Rev. Debate is obviously a moot point to you. Canada is a great country but it could be even greater. The citizen test should encourage immigrants to actually learn about Canada and it’s history. You don’t want new Canadians to actually learn about us? 20 multi guess quest... |

Sapper, I totally agree with you. The USMC model would really be a great idea. The Ozzies have a really good structure too. Plus they still have "Royal" all over their kit. That Royal gives you the tactical edge mate! You guys need to still call them by the individual service title to maintain espri... |

Well, unfortunately it’s much too easy for anybody to get citizenship. The test I wrote was a joke, and the whole procedure was more like a production line than any kind of knowledge test of Canada’s culture and history. I excepted somebody to ask me why I wanted to be citizen. Nobody did. The threa... |
