I don't get why anybody gets miffed about other peoples marriages etc. What impact on my marriage does two guys marrying each other have?

We are going to look back at all this stuff in a few years and wonder what all the fuss is about. It's all very silly.

A formalized Anglosphere without American participation would be pointless anyway. It'd be like the British Commonwealth against Hitler circa November 1941 all over again. Strong enough to hold the line but still too weak by themselves to ever achieve an overall victory without American contributio...

I'm sure Justin polishes his Jubilee Medal daily. What a joke that gong turned out to be in Canada.

This is just an example of people placing importance on things that really are not important.

I know you guys are still upset that Brock took Fort George by just asking politely, but they were 'Canadian', not British. But you guys did get a nice National Anthem out of the deal! Must have really hurt their ego too when they got beaten by essentially a bunch of French Canadians and Mohawk war...

I dunno about the Canadian militia playing a large part in the war Johnny. I think their role has been oft overstated.

PA9; I see your point. Mine; He was convicted of the offence and served his time, 40 odd years ago. I'm looking at it context. The US of cops of the 1960's were not known for an empathetic and diverse approach to black people's issues. Even those of us in blue today are aware that those who came bef...

The problem is Johnny, the Pakistanis in the UK don't want to be a part of the country. They never have. What they are reaping is a response to their attitude. Immigration from Pakistan/Bangladesh has been a catastrophic failure in the UK. The Brits have taken on nothing but social problems from thi...

He seems like he's been pretty well behaved for the past 40 years. I don't buy the 'It's because I'm black' argument but this guy committed offences during a very turbulent time in the US. I'm pretty sure if I'd been a black American in the 1950's and 1960's I'd have been joining in with the strugg...

It shouldn’t be a NDP vs Tory issue.

Too bad then that Mulcair decided to make it one.

Sales guys use people to further their agendas. It doesn't mean that the people they use don't need help.

If you latter-day day Jihadis hate the UK and the rest of us so much, you should realise that the feeling is mutual and fuck-off back to the Stone Age from whence you came. The island of Britain has absorbed every invader for the past 30,000 years. Pakistani-UK haters will add just be absorbed like ...

Ireland's economy has its problems. But the future has never been brighter for Ireland. Just, over the past couple of years, they've started to separate church from state in Ireland. They're in the middle of a social revolution that's unprecedented in their history. Let's see how this plays out ove...
