Forum: Current Events   Topic: Tougher 'Made in Canada' Regs Kick In

It's about time, but why do we institute tough new "made in Canada" rules while at the same time protesting the US doing the same thing? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?
You can't have it both ways.

I love football and watch both. Try switching back and forth between them when they have games on at the same time. The difference in the size, speed, power, and athleticism between NFL and CFL players is obvious. The NFL is on a whole different level. I guess thats why they make the big money.

Prior to Bush, every US president made Canada thier first offical visit. Bush went to Mexico first. I think Obama will choose either the UK or China for his first offical visit.

[quote="Bacardi4206 If Canada COULD launch some fucking rockets, we would have. There is no possible way Canada could or would finance to launch it's own rockets. NASA could do it because they were financed by the wealthiest nation in the world, or atleast was anyways along with backing from Ca...

SPAR built the arms on contract to NASA. SPAR built them because NASA asked for them (it was not a "pre-existing design). I believe Canada paid for them as our "contribution" to the Space Shuttle program. So NASA got some incredibly useful expensive toys (paid for by the Canadian tax...

right. those are things that i hear all the time from friends. so based on what they are saying, their view of the canadian armed forces is a negative one. So do you think the public sees our military force as a force to be reckoned with? One that could hold its own? or one that depends on american...

I guess hockey and curling aren't sports :(

Any activity where the main piece of equipment is a broom is not a sport.

Scrapping the army is a brilliant idea, and the timing couldn't be better. What with the recently belligerent Russians nosing around our arctic and our most powerful ally (your buddys the Americans) distancing themselves from us at every opportunity I can see why we would have no need to defend ours...

There has been talk in the U.S. for a couple of years now about the export of the F-22. Federal law says no, but some politicians like def. sec. Robert Gates would have no problem with exporting the jet. Congress would have to change the law though. And Im sure that the export F-22 will be a "...

The signs all seem to be there: - for about the past two years, long before parity or new border rules tourism from the US has plummeted - thickening of the border making trade and tourism more difficult - requiring Canadians to show passports - the probable next president wants to rework NAFTA - US...

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
I agree with Arcy, :P

Send Canadians to Mars.

We'd be able to stand the mission much better then Americans ever would be, lol!

Good idea, except the only to get there is to bum a ride off your American "friends". They are the only ones that seem to be able to land on Mars in one piece.

NASA needs Canada, without Canada there is no NASA as without Canada they would not have all the high-tech equipment to do there jobs. Like the Canadarm2, Dexter, etc. With that Pheonix mission going under away, majority of the equipment on board is Canadian. Along with our Astronauts, Astronauts d...
