The CBC's reporting isn't any different than any other news organization. Big story titles that may or may not really frame the actual story, all just to get your attention. Their panels are pretty darn balanced, they get commentators from across the political spectrum and the discussion doesn't alw...

I wish. I agree that it is quite common in personal relationships, but business? I haven't run into it yet. You'd say that every business (big or small) would have a website and email, right? They don't... It's actually quite common in business these days. There's an age gap there still as some old...

Well, let's not ignore the obvious. The vast majority of the population is very disconnected from the vets of any war unless of course they have relatives how have served and fought. Add to that, this country has not truly shared in the experience of war since WWII. Since that communal sacrifice wh...

Where is your Prius NOW! (hint: crying in fear and leaking oil) -J. My Prius is doing just fine thanks. It handles like a dream, uses next to no gas and gets me from point a to point b without needing much maintenance. What else could you need from a vehicle? I want some of the kool-aid your ...

I think you're out of your mind. You want a system where parents and kids and pick and chose which classes they decide to attend all based on "beliefs"....be my guest. We can't fail them for missing the class either, we'd have to pass them. The revolving door of religion and accommodation...

Sometimes a good old public shaming is a better sentence than jail time.

Title: The Saudis are bulldozing Islam's heritage. Why the silence from the Muslim world? Category: Religion Posted By: commanderkai Date: 2012-11-04 10:14:27 I may not care about Islam but I do care about history and historic monuments. I think it a great shame that any country or culture would de...

The problem here is that the offense itself isn't serious enough to land someone in jail for a long period of time. It's also not easy to enforce since there's nothing really to stop a disqualified driver from getting behind the wheel again.

I would love to see good leader material from BC, Atlantic Canada or any of the Territories. The likely hood of such a thing happening seems to be low. As pointed out the vast majority of our population is in Ontario and Quebec so that's often where our leaders come from.

I understood there was supposed to still be a /classic/ desktop option but I haven't seen the OS on anything yet. I hope there is, the new interface looks fine for a tablet but terrible for a desktop.

I agree with the call of bullshit on Bart's comments. You might hurt a few feelings is you tried that stunt in a church or mosque here but it's highly unlikely you'd spend much time in jail. You might face some sort of fine but that's about it.

Why there is a discrepancy in the amount of funding in Ontario is the question . However, the tax payer should decide where his school taxes are directed, whether they choose Public or Catholic. If my kids attend Catholic school I want my taxes directed there, if public the same, private school as ...

So in other worlds you'll become a part of the problem by casting a frustration vote? If you feel this way about the province in which you live then maybe you should just leave and let it mind it's own affairs? Separatists are still in the minority in the province and in a slow agonizing decline as...

Honestly i thought it was fairly entertaining. Biden was every bit the attack dog he's made out to be. He's certainly not one to sit by and not get in a response when one is warranted. It was certainly a far more lively debate than the first presidential one. I don't think there was a clear winner e...
