Yogi - The Phoenix is a club. I've been there and never saw it violent before. Creepy.

And getting people to come forward and testify in these cases is always incredibly hard for the police. The culture is many minority communities is to not cooperate with the police.

Dr. Jones: There is a variation of these laws 'on the books' in every province. Laudible, but rarely enforced for lack of 'manpower or desire'. In either case it is up to the one making the allegation to come up with the proof. More often than not the result is that very little if anything is done....

How is this even a debate? It's a free speech issue. The atheists wants to run ads, why shouldn't they be allowed to?

In Ontario, the Children's Aid Society can take custody a child where it believes the parents are doing such a poor job the best interets of the child would be better served as a ward of the state. But they almost never do this, barring abuse by the parents against the children. NO judge will ever i...

Anyone see this story about Kinsella trying to stop TVO from airing a viewpoint he didn't like, and threatening them with reprisals if they refused?

A free speech hero!

This city is really starting to depress me. Every week there is a new story about horrible gun violence, usually in a totally brazen manner, just like this example.

And the gunmen are always so young. What on earth is happening?

Three truths are evident here: 1) In a galaxy this large and old, other intelligent life-forms have to exist. 2) Paul Helyer is an idiot. 3) Truth #2 does not negate Truth #1. Go away Mr Helyer, to wherever it is old Trudeau-ite hacks go to play out their remaining days. Leave the rest of us alone....

Iggy just needs a bit more time as opposition leader before having a good shot at being PM. I have no problem with his "lack of experience" being a back bench MP. Who cares. But his lack of experience AS LEADER is troublesome... for now. Give him a year or so and we'll see what he's made o...

Thanks! There is one easy way to solve all these problems. In England, I'm told, if you're pulled over by the police and blow over the legal limit, you are simply done like dinner. Mainly because they don't have a Charter per se - and these technicalities don't arise because they really can't. If we...

The deferred taxes, these and other corporate parasites got(back in the 70s, 80s and early90s) were supposed to be paid back too, but that didn't happen. They laid off workers and still got the status. All of that money could have gone a long way to dealing with deficits. Exactly. Who really believ...
