Morally denying him a visa is wrong, but RSA and China are close trading partners, and China is investing billions in infrastructure projects all across the nation. China is not threatening, they simply have the ability to put their money where their mouth is. The west lost most of its clout in much... |

I read the first few paragraphs and I tapped out. I'd respond to what I read by saying that we've already taken care of most of our resource needs by facilitating global trade and spreading globalization while slaying the practice of mercantilism in our home nations (much to the dislike of many trad... |

There's only 5 million Tibetans in the whole world, and less than around 4 in China. China has colonized and annexed Tibet, colonization is not about who's got the biggest guns, or the smartest people, it's simply the biggest and most adaptable population. Quite simply put, the 4 million Tibetans ar... |

Taxes are progressive, them refusing to work more because they're in a higher tax category makes zero se... |

How are they repressed? Who's repressing them? AFAIK they have all the rights of other Canadians, plus. As has been pointed out, often policing turns a blind eye to actions that would land any other Canadian in jail. Repression seems to mean that we don't give them enough extra, on top of equal rig... |

Mob action, native troubles. Disadvantaged and repressed minority group. Canadians should probably be somewhat happy that natives comprise 4% of the population, not 40-50% (south africa comes to mind). One can only imagine the hapless RCMP having to deal with a mob of 10,000 streaming out of slum li... |
