Frak, server went down and didn't come down. Had to wait for a tech to go hard reboot it after the weekend.

I'm going to start looking for different paid hosting. I think the server is on it's last legs.

Uggh, had data-center problems, they cut connection to server. Site is back online. But server stability problems might still exist. I may need to replace hardware or move to some paid managed hosting. The server hardware is getting pretty old now. Nothing I can find in the system error logs as to t...

Not sure what's going on with permissions, must be related to the restore of the database from a backup.

Do the new mods have mod powers now?
Can edit & delete posts?
Can access moderator control panel? mcp.php?i=main

The server was hacked on the weekend, First time the site or server has been hacked in MANY years and was probably the worst hack in at least the last 10 years. I had to cobble together various backups and lost a bunch of data. I thought I had more recent backups, but they were corrupted. Sorry abou...

But Hyack really has had a huge impact in keeping the site & forums alive. I'm sometimes amazed it's seemingly gone so smoothly the past sever...

NO malware on Canadaka.net, but a link in the links directory points to an old website that has become a spam site. Removed link and submitted review to Google, warning should go away in 2 days.

You may want to logout from the site, close browser, re-open and re-login. I deleted all the cached sessions so might do weird things.

Also I think I fixed the black images on news links from links to CBC. It was happening on any image urls that were HTTPS

Not really sure what broke with posting, couldn't fine the cause. But clearing all caches, sessions and restarting the database & web servers has fixed it.

Well that was annoying, the DB was VERY corrupted. Seems the datacenter had maintenance yesterday and powered off the servers, must be related too that. Should be fixed now.

SO I tried to move my servers to a new data-centre today, but my host lost my rack rails, so the new host wasn't able to mount the server (old host just had them stacked on top of each other!). So I have some rails being mailed from the US via Fedex express, should be here on Thursday. I was able to...
