B.C. 'disappointed' with New Brunswick 'deal on health funding with Ottawa

Hmm, it seems the Liberal philosophy of divide and conquer is still in full form and apparently one Mr. Trudeau was not honest about his promise to at least maintain health care funding during the last election

So, if Mr. Lake is to be believed the % of funding will actually decrease with the new deal offered by Ottawa.





But, before anyone says this can't be true remember that past history is generally a good indicator of future actions and yes, I remember that the Conservatives were trying to do something similar but then again they aren't the party in power which makes that argument irrelevant.

It seems like the Canadian 'universal' healthcare is not so universal. Justin the Great is using this ideal to divide the country. "I'll be nice to those who drink the Kool-Aid" (Ontario and Quebec) and destroy the rest." It is sad that someone who campaigned on a promise to change things has changed things in this way. All this has done is alienate the west again in an attempt to better the east. As much as I disliked Stephen Harper, I am beginning to see that any politician out of eastern Canada loves to screw the west.

He must be really disappointed now that all the Maritime Provinces have a new deal, not just NB.

Probably although, I don't think he or any of the other holdouts expected those provinces to cave so quickly. They must have been dazzled by Fearless Leaders, good looks and charm.

But seriously. If they're willing to watch their health care dollars erode while the Fed's cut their percentage of the bill then more power to them. But, hopefully the rest of Canada won't cave to the Liberals duplicity.

Wasn't B.C the one who pretty much betrayed western Canada with their own little 'back room' deal on climate change? I'm disappointed they're disappointed.

No, BC just made sure it didn't get shafted with the laggards finally imposing a carbon tax.

Yeah. Heading into an election claiming a surplus that's pretty much equal to what they collected on MSP premiums. Pointing out repeatedly that single moms will "save" with a reduction while never mentioning the increase for seniors?
Or all those people in the Lower Mainland that don't even notice the couple cents carbon tax on gasoline when they're gouged $7.50 a day in tolls to go to work and back?
