On 28 November, mine workers used "bird hazing" techniques to try to frighten the birds and prevent them from landing in the water, which is acidic enough to dissolve a motorboat's steel propeller, according to researchers.

    Well the link you posted is from an overseas news service....quite considerable coverage considering we're talking about a state that probably now has more dead geese than living people

    Actually it shows its an international story but all the tree huggers around the world couldn't give a rats ass.

    It's just a precursor for the next four years as the EPA and what residual environmental laws the Americans have are steadily dismantled. The place will look what the Soviets did to Eastern Europe or the region by the time Trump and the anti-regulation brigade is through.
